Notes, Clippings, Highlights, & Sermons! Best Practices

Logos is awesome! I've used it for years.

However, Notes have always stumped me. So I'm looking for some best practices for using Notes to prepare for an expository sermon. I want to highlight in resources, compile them into a singular document, and be able to draw from them to write into a sermon manuscript with the Sermon Editor.

What are your Notes best practices for this type of work?

I use a template modeled on inductive study along with a custom Passage Guide and layout for each section. The formatting did not copy over.
