Is a lightweight install possible?

Logos is not my primary Bible software, I just use it to get the occasional book. I thought it would be useful to have it on my Mac, and so I got Verbum Basic and downloaded and installed the software. My first surprise was that it only offered me two options for downloading my library: 4GB or 5GB. The resources I want to have locally are surely less that 1GB. I consented to 4GB, and the installer did its thing.

It turns out that 3.5 GB of this is reverse interlinear datasets for Bibles I don't own. Since I cannot use this data, is it possible to remove it? If not, I'll just uninstall Verbum and stick to the Web and mobile apps.

Welcome to the forums. Please call back with any other questions that crop up regarding your use of Logos.

I don't think there is a a way to have the type of installation that you want. Mostly, I think, because to provide such an installation would lead to a myriad of support calls when folk find that advertised functions fail to work.

Many of the most used features of Logos make use of the RI s in the background even when this is not apparent from the resources being consulted.

My favorite feature in Logos and Verbum uses reverse interlinear tagging so can "see" range of Greek verbal expression in Bibles with Logos Greek Morphology tagging (e.g. Reverse Interlinears)

Screen shot has a line added to show word correlation (choose to hide chapter and verse numbers since they were added ~500 years ago having a number of alignment issues with Greek sentence clauses: some numbers are in the middle of a sentence). Thankful for free Logos 8 Basic and Verbum 8 Basic including datasets and features to enable use of Logos Greek Morphology visual filters.

Logos wiki has => Examples of visual filters as the Visual Filters used in the screen shot are user created documents, which have been shared for free download and use by any Logos/Verbum user. Currently Visual Filter search results being combined for simultaneous display is only available in the applications for macOS and Windows.

Logos and Verbum have many datasets and features (e.g. Reverse Interlinears) that do not appear in Library so user cannot selectively uninstall (undownload) them.

For uninstall, Logos wiki has => Uninstalling Logos for Mac (since dragging application bundle to trash does not remove a lot of stuff)
