The Word Discipline in Cyprian letters
the word discipline in Saint Cyprian Letters 1-27 came with different meaning. Can someone help how to differentiate between the meanings especially the context can be misleading a bit

Very briefly: Tertullian used the term "disciplina" (discipline) in a broader sense: it often means in general "teaching, instruction, science". Cyprian, on the other hand, always uses the term in an ecclesiastical, religious sense: it refers to the behaviour of Christians or the norms for Christian behaviour. In doing so, he adopts ideas of the "disciplina militaris" (military discipline): After baptism the Christian is to live as miles christi (soldier of christ) in the Christian disciplina.
