Problem with Bible Browser after waking my MacBook
Running Logos 8.13
If I wake my MacBook by opening its lid, go into Logos (which is already open) and try to use the Bible Browser I get an error in communicating message.
Quitting and restarting Logos causes it to work correctly
Is this a known problem, are others seeing it?
Thanks, Graham

I was not able to duplicate this with my MacBook Pro.

I saw this yesterday, but I figured it was a FL server issue. This morning I cannot replicate it.

Thanks for the responses.
Interesting - I see this every time!

Curious about System Preferences => Network after wake up from sleep ? Also does desktop application have red exclamation point inside sync arrows ? (after waking, an idea is clicking sync arrows & letting sync complete before clicking Retry in Bible Browser)
My iPhone is a personal hotspot for my computers, which is needing many restarts of iPhone hotspot needed weekly. Experiencing newer Apple security on iPhone wanting passcode reentered for hotspot use every so often, which can appear in System Preferences => Network as a self-assigned IP (or Bluetooth no longer connected).

Morris Proctor had a webinar about this tool today and after it was done, I tried to open it up and found it was not working...Whoops!

After waking up 27" iMac from sleep, sync had red exclamation point plus Bible Browser had Retry (many times) so needed to restart Logos.

Did you check server status? https://status.faithlife.com/

Bradley advised - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/191747/1106014.aspx#1106014 - there was a problem with the Bible Browser yesterday.
I've just tried it after waking my Mac and it worked fine - whereas previously it had failed on multiple occasions consistently.

I can't say I've had this issue but I always close Logos completely when done with it on my Mac. I found the below article if your Mac is dropping all network connections upon wake if you want to try. If I remember, I'll try to test your issue out tonight to see if I get the same issue.

The only issue I've ever had w/ my Mac and network is sometimes when the router re-initializes my Mac will refuse to connect to it again. Rebooting the router fixes this.

You Mac-abees don't have an edge on this server issue. I noticed it yesterday on my PC. I waited awhile, restarted Logos and then it worked fine ever after.

When I used the Mac, it would always freeze up to the point where I had to force quit if I shut the lid while it was running. So like the others suggested here, I would always close the app before closing the rmbp.
i haven’t had this problem on my PC. I’m not sure if it’s because it has more memory and a stronger CPU than my old Mac (the Mac was a 2013 and only had 8gb and a dual core i5) or whether it was how the Mac was designed.

Yes, an old Mac might have done it... although I didn't have that problem when my older Mac was new. [:)]

Well, when L8 first came out, I remember the complaints about bloat. Could be when we first got our Macs it could easily handle Logos at the time 😉
