Logos 8- Chromebook Options
Hello everyone.
I am a huge Chromebook fan. I prefer Chrome OS over Windows in nearly every way. It is more secure, it has better battery life, and I do almost everything, even as a Pastor, I do almost everything through Google Drive, so I can easily organize documents and files online.
So the only thing stopping me from converting to my favorite ecosystem, is Logos.
I tried the Logos Web App, and it looks like several features are missing,
I only have 4 guides instead of 8. Topic study seems to be non-existent. I can do without some features, but it seems like too many features are missing for me to justify switching, especially since I use Logos so much.
Is Logos planning to update in the near future or improve the Web App? I see it as better than the Android App, which I know is also an option. So I'm hoping I can get some insight on if any improvements are expected in the near future, or if there are any alternatives (maybe someone got Logos working through Linux or something)
Thanks!
Zach

The web app continues to be improved, but development is fairly slow.

Zachary,
Since you love chromebooks, you may be interested in learning that using the feature that allows you to install Linux apps may allow you to install Logos into that environment within ChromeOS using Wine. There’s a thread about Linux development here: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/121.aspx. It’s a long thread I recommend reading it from the last page backwards so you can get the more recent news. I actually had Logos installed in the Linux environment on my Pixelbook before I sold it.

Bill, thanks for all the useful information. I tried the link to a google doc you posted but it seems to be invalid. Is there a new url? I'm trying to get Logos installed on my 2017 pixelbook.

The link is good. The forums may have been down.

It is the link to the Google document for the chromebook installation that no longer works. I was hoping somebody might have a new one.
