BUG: Tagging of {Speaker } over smaller Ranges (also inconsistent with WOC)
Amongst my 13 Reverse Interlinear (RI) Bibles, 9 have Words of Christ (WOC) tagging at John 3:16-21 with punctuation to match*. But only 6 RI bibles are tagged with {Speaker <Person Jesus>} for that range:-
- AV1873 is not tagged with WOC, but result may be OK.
- LEB is not tagged with WOC and it has a footnote that precludes that range from being words of Jesus!
- ESV, KJV 1900, NKJV and NLT are tagged with WOC, but why are the other 5 WOC bibles not included when they also have Speaker labels?
- When the search range is John 3:10-21, all 13 RI bibles are included with the {Speaker...} query
- This includes the 9 bibles that have WOC
- NABRE is included when it has no WOC, and punctuation would seem to exclude vv.16-21.
- NIV 2011 is included when it has WOC, but its range and punctuation excludes vv.16-21
The queries used are God in Words of Christ (WOC) field, and God WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>} in All bible Text.
* except in KJV 1900

WOC comes from the publisher (from the print formatting of the Bible and whether it uses red-letter text); it will be different per translation.
{Speaker} comes from Faithlife's annotation on SBLGNT so it will be the same for all reverse interlinears.

How do 6 RI bibles have results at John 3:16-21 whilst SBLGNT has no results (for {Speaker <Person Jesus>})? Note that SBLGNT and all 13 RI's have results at John 3:10-21.

I don't understand the question. If a Bible has results in John 3:10-21, then surely it has results in John 3:16-21 by definition?
I see results for that query in multiple verses in John 3 in SBLGNT, and specifically in vv16-21:

It seems like you might have found a bug with specifying extremely small verse ranges in the range filter in Bible Search.

This explains some oddities I found but did not pursue. Thanks Dave.

With a search for God (with Match all word forms)
I included SBLGNT in the collection. All bibles have God/θεός in verses 16,17, 18 and 21. NLT inserts God's in verse 19.
The restricted range excludes SBLGNT, and does not find God in v. 16 for 4 of the bibles.
