New Layout is not tracking on Date of a Devotional
When I select the "Devotional Layout" under the Quick Start heading - it takes me to the date of the devotional.
However, when I making a small change and save the layout under "My Devotional" it works fine - except that it is not opening the Devotional with the current date, but rather the date as to when it was saved.
How can I get it to open the devotional with the current date - like the original layout is doing?

You can't. A saved layout intends to keep everything where it was. If you want to open a calendar devotional to "today's" date, you must do so either by opening it up from the library or from a new layout (as you did).

Welcome [:D]
Suggest "customizing" Quick Start by Right Clicking on "Devotional" that allows default layout to be Replaced with current layout: (so Custom appears next to Devotional)

Or from a shortcut (at the top of the main Window).

Disappointed by opening Custom Devotional (with one more Devotional resource added) kept date when layout was saved. Restoring default layout allowed Devotional Quick Start layout to open with Today's Date. Hence, customizing 8.15 Devotional Quick Start layout feels buggy.
