Is Logos 8.15 the last update?
Howdy from Texas!
I check the Logos Wiki page every so often, and notice that on the Beta release page (https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_8_Beta_Release_Notes) there are no entries for a version 8.16.
This tells me that either 1) the Carona virus has stopped construction of software updates, or 2) Logos version 9.0 is on the horizon.
Some of us need to save our pennies to make sure we can afford the upgrade if and when it comes.
Is there any way to get "insider trading" info on just what is happening here?
Thank you so much!

Along a similar train of thought, I am browsing a few base package purchases that might never come back the same when the new more expensive ones arrive.

As above, some of us just couldn't chance a change in one of the 'unbelievable-for-the-price' packages (there's 2 at least). For me, the risk was just too high, so I got Biblicum.

I suppose you could always apply to work at Faithlife. But then you might know, and still couldn't tell us. LOL [;)]

I just hope they give us some sort of advance warning so we can prepare. Probably benefits FL as well. Otherwise...
Faithlife: Surprise! Here’s Logos 9!
Users: Right... we get paid two weeks from now. We’ll see what we can afford then.

Yeah, i saw a banner ad for a 30% discount labor day sale. I may want to give that a pass.

To add more fuel to the fire, doesn’t it seem like there are more across the board discounts happening right now? has the feel of a store trying to push last seasons merch before the new stuff arrives

Great deals are great deals. Going by previous experience, a sizable portion of what's in base packages now will be in base packages later--in that way, books differ from fashion.

Hmmm...
No response from the company yet.
Hmmm...
Thank y'all for responding. A lot of good humor here.
Beginning to believe we better be ready for some investment before too long.
It used to happen during November (that they would upgrade the software). Last time it was in late October.
(sigh)
Time will tell.
Again, thanks.

So, if it drops in 2020, we can be sure it will happen between tomorrow and December 31st... [;)]

As soon as 9 is released, can we start a thread estimating the release of 10?
All kidding aside, 8 is great and I'd be happy staying with it. Thankful for the people at Faithlife.

That thread probably won't start until someone forgets that FL does these things two years apart or someone new asks. So probably within a month of the end of the introductory sale (I assume there will be one, since I don't remember there ever not being one).
The L/V 10 wishlist thread will probably start before then.

An interesting timeline. I have the following:
LLS 2.1
LDLS 3.Og
L5
L8
I guess I am good for awhile. It appears that I wait until end of support, and then upgrade.
Once and awhile a very interesting package will grab my attention.

Looking at my purchase history, there was a huge gap from 2006 to 2012. So I had Libronix 2 (bought the CD-ROM in an overstock store), that immediately upgraded the engine to 3. It looks like I didn't do more than the engine upgrades and individual purchases until Verbum 6 (Foundations), though I could have sworn I bought 4. Then I ended up doing every upgrade since.

Living & learning (in my metallic age with silver hair, golden teeth, and lead elsewhere) plus updated Logos Wiki page => Logos Release History by adding Logos Blog 8.0 (same day as release) and Logos Blog 7.0 (two days after release). Also added Logos Blog 1 May 2006 to Mac Release Notes and History (provided some context about "When for Mac ?" in 2007)

Four out of five recent releases (4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 8.0) had new release introductory sales less than a week old on 2-11 (2 Nov).

I received a email asking me to phone or email for a further 5% off a Diamond or above package. Tempting, but need my preemies for the 9 update.
