Is there any benefit left that I am missing that would justify the annual subscription? - looking for opinions, comments, suggestions.
For me, I have come to the place where I want to OWN resources but am content to RENT features. If for some reason I could no longer justify the expense, I would be content to let my connect membership lapse. My primary use of Logos is as a digital research library... the ability to own and search my library. That comes with the free engine. All of the other features are good, but not critical for me.
In addition, a connect membership provides early access to the next level of Logos once the engines come out (i.e. L9, L10, etc.). I believe there are also discounts on new libraries.
I would argue JT can't afford to change his mind. I say that jokingly, only to illustrate, best to 'decide' ... the features seem to add up fast, and no picking/choosing.
But 'actually', I'd be happy with L5 plus multiview. So, my feature-itus is probably an embarrassing waste. (I'm opposite JT).
I am still a subscriber and I don't like subscription models. I understand from being in the industry that a company needs recurring income to sustain the business. My rationalization is that I can get three free books, albeit, public domain ones each month. You would need to look at the list of the few thousand to see if there is any that would make sense to pay the annual fee. I have used the two free courses and have made use of the discounts at times. I haven't see the new features roll out like they did in the beginning. And if it is features you want, you need to remember that for each year that you are subscribing the cost of getting off Connect and buying features could be steep.
It's like Amazon Prime and now Walmart's new service, Walmart+. You look at the cost/benefits to see if it works for you.
I enjoy the Faithlife TV premium access though it isn’t amazing and the features kind of feel off the tracks. It would be neat to get a special gift or something annually but my biggest loves are the 2% back and the lexham discounts
There no major benefit of keeping Connect anymore. They stopped giving early features, and that was the major thing that people were looking for. Then ... they drop that. That's it. They didn't replace or add anything to replace that benefit.
We're literally throwing money for free towards Connect.
As for the TV stuffs... Meh... bunch of old stuffs. YouTube/Amz have much more superior stuffs.

3 Classic eBooks? Meh ... I hardly read any of those. Heck, I spent more time looking what's good to buy on the website than actually reading them. And I have Ultimate, so my choices are even less.
I do hope they give something big upon the release of L9 for Connect subscribers. Otherwise it's a robbery. Like the person above me said, the cost does not match the benefits at all.
It all depends. I always prefer ownership over rental and I bought feature sets. Yet, I just got connect for following reasons:
- 2 video rental courses of your choice
- 2% reward
- 25% discount for Lexham products
- 3 free classic books
- coming discount for L9 (based on history)
to put together rewards and discounts especially if L9 will come this year, Connect will not only payoff itself, but will even profit me.

Who knows about the benefits of Faithlife Connect?
If you are someone who would otherwise buy all the features when they come out, then a permanently-maintained annual subscription to Faithlife Connect is likely cheaper than buying all the features.
Please note that the financial implications vary based on whether you have the special Faithlife Connect option with no resources (the no-longer-available-to-new-subscribers successor to Logos Now) or one of the FL Connect options presently open to the public.
It's also worth noting that there remains a subscription option essentially identical to the defunct Logos Now: Verbum Now, which (for people who don't have the now-unavailable no-resources FL Connect subscription) is presently the cheapest way to get all of the (Verbum) 8 features by subscription, since it has also maintained the old Logos Now price point.
TL;DR: If you want all the features and don't already have FL Connect (no resources), the best subscription option is Verbum Now.
So, after this thread and a couple other places asking the same thing, I have decided to not autorenew.
I think that everyone has different priorities with their Logos/Faithlife "stuff." I really have a limited budget [now] (though based on my library, you wouldn't probably guess that. I used to be in an IT manager in the banking undustry, I am not a pastor and still do IT but for a non-profit mental health organization helping low and no income families.
Since starting with Logos 1.1 and installing from a stack of floppy disckettes and later CD/DVD and still having a license backup diskette, I had to deal with some loss of resources (on a new install) when they switched to the current clowd model for licensing. it was dissapointing, but I got over it. but I discovered I have a resource-centric priority.
Part of that was with the Logos features. I always wanted to own them. so I ended up upgrading to a "base package" (though starting from a helter-skelter collection) and then upgrading those as the base=models changed over the years. I think now I have a "collectors" "base." So all the features are built in to what I own.
Thank you all for your input, the only thing I might miss is the faithlife.tv part. so I will decide what to do when it comes round to renewal time if I want it or not. I will be tracking what the monthly freebies are for connect and whether I can even participate, but the picken's have been slim for a year, nad recently, i have had no options for new freebies.(turns out I am in that same boat with the regular monthly freebies)
already own all the features. already have the mobile:ed courses I want to and have taken (any new ones that I might want, I simply won't get to in that 6-month period - especially as an adult-learner-seminarian as well) I watched FL.TV a few times in the last couple years for a couple specials, but I ended up buying those movies anyway - especially with licensing so I can show them in my church. that benjamin every year for many years adds up and for me, it just made no sense (one I understood what the options are).
I am willing to wager that when l9 comes out, that I will still get a discount as a "VIP"- library owner (or so I was told by one of the sales people).
