Search function within clippings panel doesn't work but using the general Search outside of Clip

I have a Clippings document within which I want to search for a word. When I click on the three dots in the upper right of the panel, select "Find(in this panel)" and enter a search term I get know results. However if I select the general Verbum search function (the magnifying glass icon) and enter the term there then the results will find the clipping in which the search term appears. The Clippings panel search doesn't show "0/0" for know results found.  It doesn't seem to respond at all. After I created the Clippings file I did close and reopen it but the panel search within the clippings file still did not work.

I'm using Verbum 8.16.0.0002. I don't know if this has been a problem before since I'm just learning how to work with clippings.

The Documents that have an internal Find (Ctrl+F) work the same way i.e. they will locate the specific clipping (if more than one), else do nothing; an empty panel tells you there are no results. The Search tool works better as you know how many results there are, and can move to a specific clipping. Results cannot be positioned to the exact location of the search word.
