BDAG Bibliography Expansion: Biblical Studies (25 vols.) coming off community pricing on the 18th. Want to make it cheaper?
The best part of all these is that BDAG will be updated to include links to these works 👍😁👌
And it has hit 21
do I hear $17? 😉
For anyone scanning the titles, and wondering in 2020?? Really?
But a couple of volumes make the CP interesting and a nice buy:
- Burkitt and looking behind Mark. Most assume Mark and surmise Q. Or compress Matthew to generate Mark. Burkitt also did the volume on the old latin sources (Italia in Logos.com) and quite a bit more.
- Thackeray and Judaistic worship (an over-generalism on my part). But an interesting discussion, even if later theories. Thackeray spent a lot of time on Josephus.
O.K., thanks all for your thoughts- what is the utility of these books?
-Specifically the ones on demonology, tongues, and the friendships of Paul.
Thanks.

Specifically the ones on demonology, tongues, and the friendships of Paul.
Just my thoughts:
- The demonology and tongues volumes appear to seek refuge in pyschology theory in the early 1900s. If indeed one wanted to link pychology, you'd want the latest research, at least 1990 forwards. My thinking, you'd be zeroing out the essense of the NT.
- Friends of Paul? It uses much of Acts, so. If it could untangle Mark, Barnabas and Paul, but I doubt it. I'd want much more recent koine research, to try 'friends'.
Two more days! Looks like $21 will be the final price 👍😁👌
Less than a US dollar per volume is a fantastic price.
