Most but not all of my books have transferred into Logos. But my Perks subscription, it says to update my profile to renew this subscription, but when I click the link it brings me to my subscriptions page and only my Faithlife Connect Essentials is listed there. What am I to do to keep my Wordsearch Perks going?

Couldn't edit my last post for some reason. But just for the record, I just renewed my Perks through Worsearch not more than a month ago, so I am a current subscriber to it through Wordsearch.

I have literally spent hours and have more hours to cross-reference my Word Search Library with my Logos library and the resources that cam over. This is not a simple process. For example, I have 9 volumes of Butler's Sermon Starters in Wordsearch and 5 in Logos. Without opening the resources in both and comparing the table of contents, I have no way of knowing if Logos has the entire set in fewer volumes. I too would love an individual comparison list showing the WordSearch title, the Logos Title, when it will be available if not already, etc.

What's up everyone!?!
I'm both excited and tentative to have the resources combined. I have 2 separate emails for both programs. I wonder if it is wise to keep it like this until all resources are confirmed migrated to Logos from Wordsearch, then verify all is good before combining the 2. This may be helpful in "tracking" what comes over and what does not (and fortunately I have a new machine that didn't have Logos on it yet, so I'm able to do this). Think it's worth it? Not sure, but it will help...I think...just extra work on my side : (

1) Is there a time limit to have accounts combined?
2) What do we do with titles that are not yet migrated and that are not in the list provided that are planned to be migrated (for example: I see The NIV Study Bible has not been added, nor is it on the list of to be added; the same is true for The Founders Journal and some other "older" titles from the Doxa days)?

I stopped - I was also forming a list of items that I'm missing and don't see and ended up putting those in an email to customer support. I can copy/paste that here if needed, but some of those do exist in Logos but not in my new Logos Library.

So far, my experience has been less than satisfactory. I tried downloading the Logos software to my computer to no avail (says file missing). When using the web version, I noticed that my resource, Dispensational Truth, was text only, and the charts and other features are "sold separately." I paid almost $100 for that resource, and now Logos expects me to pay even more to maintain what I had. Moreover none of study resources have migrated yet. So, I will have to continue using both apps until then.
For folks like me who loved the simplicity of Wordsearch, I am disappointed thus far with this so-called superior product. Most of us wrestle with complicated software and complex programs at work that are ever changing. It was nice having a simple resource to study God's Word.

Someone from Faithlife will have to respond about Dispensational Truth. I think it is their intention to provide everything they've received from Lifeway/Wordsearch, but charts and maps might take longer to produce.

Superior and more user friendly are two different things. It will take awhile to learn Logos. Many people struggle with it at first. Sorry you have to make the change, but at least Lifeway was able to find a company to take over the software.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to Logos!
Thanks for letting us know that we hadn't unlocked all of the Dispensational Truth content for Wordsearch users. That title is broken up into two ebooks in Logos, and only the first was unlocked.
That's been fixed now, so you should see the Charts as a separate resource in your library.

Overall, I like Logos, (I’ve used both since QuickVerse days and Libronix days) and each had strengths
For example, Logos is a true 64 bit app, and it doesn’t seem to care how many resources I have open. It is so fast! I like the ability of being able to change the background colors to make it easier on the eyes. Logos has so much power, I doubt I will ever use half of it.
Wordsearch had strengths too.. For example, being able to click a button to turn on/off Strong’s numbers is amazingly simple. Or having the Strong’s talking Greek Hebrew dictionary available which allows me to learn to say words my tongue isn’t use to pronouncing with the click of a icon. lol. And ZipScript… allows me to put Bible Verses in my PowerPoint slides so easily
I understand there will be growing pains... I can't believe how much work must've gone into this change over and so appreciate the work that's been done so far. I do wish there was a utility we could run... comparing our WordSearch libraries with our Logos Libraries and list out the differences. I've spent several hours today trying to see what I had in WS vs what I have in Logos. And it's frustrating when I see a commentary missing in Logos. Then I look at the Logos Store (for example at the Teach the Text commentary) and it shows that I own all but the 2nd Corinthians one (I actually own all of them in WS) but none of that commentary have come down to my Logos yet... Is this a bug? should I report it or should I be patient... I think probably the latter... but is that right? I don't want to be a pain... after all WS still works.
I think this will be a good change over and I just have to learn some new tricks... but you know what they say about old dogs...

But, I don’t have access to this set in Logos. As I’ve read a lot of the recent posts here in these forums, other users like us are having similar difficulties. I believe Logos will be looking into these discrepancies and fixing the issues as they can. We have to be patient.

I'm waiting to download any new resources late Monday evening to give Logos a chance to sync a bigger chunk of my licenses. Then I'll run periodic resource downloads. I'm not in a major rush. I still have WS running on my old Mac if I need something "critical".

Sorry you've had some difficulty(-ies) with Logos so far! Try to be patient with the resources coming over and all the background "magic" that has to happen to make them available to you/us in Logos.Transitioning over to Logos will definitely be a learning curve, but it is worth the time and practice. The best analogy is learning to dance: If you learn the basic 2-step you'll be alright, but know there are so many more moves and styles you can learn. The more you get to know and put in your repertoire, the better. But it all starts with that 2-step.
Let me encourage you to push on.Welcome to Logos, Jeff! Praying the transition for you goes smoother than it started.

I agree with comment about Strong's numbers.
Also, with Worksearch , I can link all my Bibles and Commentaries at the same time.
With Logos , I only see way to ,link one Bible with one commentary.Is there a way to link all( usually keep 5 or 6 of each up for study ) at same time in Logos?0 -

One difference that I have come to realize in the difference between WordSearch and Logos is that are intended to functional totally differently...Dr. duh you say. Consider for a moment that WordSearch is a bible program is actually designed only to work as a bible software platform that is easy to use, quick, and intuitive. While Logos is really more of a search platform designed to search multiple libraries (i.e. secular academic, Catholic, and various faith tradition libraries) which means it is far more complicated and difficult to use. In short Logos is a ai based librarian that tries to be all things to all people in the digital world not a bible program (i.e. e-sword, Olive software) which spits out predigested "bible studies" (i.e. data bases). Be prepared to spend a great deal of money, time, and effort to master this ai product...imo.

Of course you can - you did see Mark's explanation in the other thread about how to set up a link set (he posted directly above your first post), did you? Nothing says that you can only link one commentary to a bible, in fact I usually use multiple, if I work on a passage. Even more I use several bibles in such a link set to have different translations next to each other in my layout.

That's great news! I'm using mainly Logos, but I have about 600 resources in Wordsearch (partly overlapping with my Logos library). It's great to get those to the Logos library!
A question: Is there an easy way to export a list of resources in my Wordsearch library? There's Products owned section in the account page, but it lists the titles in a cover view only (not so easy to copy paste). I've been using the mobile app and the web app only in the recent years.
Faithlife Connect + several Base Packages + Luther's Works, etc.

Wordsearch should work just fine until an operating system is unable to run it even in compatibility mode. So take your time getting familiar with the new environment.

I was reading https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028307111-Using-Strong-s-Numbers and it shows the reverse interlinear as part of the ESV. My ESV doesn't show that. Are there different versions of the files that include or do not include that coding in the background? (Still can't figure this out....)

Not from the library itself - the functionalities and datasets listed for packages in the store have them. Many users found it helpful to manually tag them in the library - there are 22 English Bibles available that have a Reverse Interlinear, see the screenshot:

- Open Search
- Select Bible Search all Bibles
- Search for <Person Abraham>
- Run the query. All results are from Bibles with a RI which is how the datatype tag was matched.

I don't know anything about which features and datasets you owned in Wordsearch and received in Logos as part of the license migration. If you were a Logos user asking me this question, I'd recommend making sure that you own at least the Starter Feature Set (or any set that includes this), based on the section for interlinears on this page: https://www.logos.com/compare/featuresets or alternatively the Fundamentals Set: https://www.logos.com/product/166518/logos-8-fundamentals

Hmm. I get the search heading[?] shows "Search All Bible Text in Entire Bible in All Bibles for" then the search field is "<person Abraham>" and that yields 0 results. [:(]

RI datasets are not automatically included when you buy a Bible from Logos, even if that Bible does have a RI associated with it. If you go to this page and scroll down to the Interlinears section you will see all the Bibles that Logos has produced a RI for. It should also note which of these you own.
The way one obtains RI Bibles is by buying one of Logos' feature sets (Starter, Bronze, or Full), or by buying a Logos base package with the feature sets it includes.
I don't know what Logos included for WS users in this transition, so you may or may not own one or more RIs.
