Yipes reading these posts makes me say, "hey girl just go back to out school, hard copy, and forget tech. What a mess.
Welcome to the forums, Phyllis.
Could you please explain the "mess" you're referring to? I can't tell what problem(s) you're having, which makes it impossible to help fix them.
I download Basic Logos 8 started watching videos. Decided I want to look at the Logos 8. But it's no where. I tried to log in with the new updated login and it won't accept my logging in. How in the world do I find Logos 8? WordSearch was much more straightforward. I had an icon and clicked on it, it loaded and viola I had everything at my finger tips. I have NO idea how Lifeway and Logos is set up. For me it's a mess.

How frustrating. Sorry you didn't get a clean install. What you discribe is how almost all Windows programs work including Logos. You had to have found Logos for it to ask for a log-in so I'm not sure what the problem is but I suspect it may not have installed. Did you do what is suggested here? https://www.logos.com/install
No it's installed. I had at least 14 Bible translation in Wordsearch I have only what Logos 8 wants to give me. Not acceptable,.

Phyllis, I am sure there is an explanation.
There are a few Bible that have not yet been transitioned. When they are, you will see them in your library.
I wonder if some of your Bibles came from a source other than Wordsearch? If so, Logos did not get the licenses for those from Lifeway and wouldn't be able to provide them.
If you could give a little more detail on what is missing it would be helpful.
No Mark every book I had in Wordsearch was from Wordseach. But thanks. Right now I'm very frustrated. Maybe just Google and Bible Hub and Bible Gateway from now on and copy and paste to my word processing on iMac. Oh well, I'm old won't need it much longer.
It looks like our copy of your Wordsearch licenses may be incomplete, because I don't see 14 Bibles unlocked on your account.
We're hoping to update this on Monday, which may bring over your missing resources; please check back then.
Thanks.
I tried yesterday and the whole software shutdown. I reported it to Apple. My friends are using Blue Letter Bible so I'll try that.
I went into my Wordsearch to look at my list of Bibles I had ASV, Bible in Basic English, Darby, ISV, KJV, La Biblica de la Americas, NET, NASB 1977, NASB 1995, New Century, NIV, NKJV, New Living, New Revised Standard, The Living Bible, The Message and Young's Literal Translation. That's just the Bibles. Many commentaries, dictionaries, and special books such as Spurgeon's Lost Sermons. So we'll see but since the software failed on my iMac I'll wait and see how BLB works for me.
It might be a good idea to print out a list from Wordsearch of all your resources / books there.
And remember that some have not yet been ported to Logos.
[[And then there will be the issue of Wordsearch and Logos having different versions of the same book]]
Phyllis, I am also a "woman of a certain age", retired for nearly two decades. Your Wordsearch should continue to work for several years depending upon how operating system develop over that time. Until then, Faithlife indicated that the initial conversion would not be complete until Monday night and that additional resources would extend until the end of the year. They gave no timeline for user created content -- only said it would be converted. No reason to go searching for other solutions until we know what problems you actually. I suspect your shutdown may have been more effectively reported to Faithlife. Anyway, know that we are here and willing to help you through the transition.
