Bible Notes Type vs Bible Study Type
Why is the "NIV Study Bible: Notes (Fully Revised Edition)" categorized with a Type of "Bible Notes" instead of a Type of "Study Bible"?
Since it doesn't have a type of "Study Bible", it doesn't appear in layouts which include Study Bibles. The ESV Study Bible is a "Study Bible". So are the Reformation Study Bible, the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible, the MacArthur Study Bible, and the CSB Study Bible.
I don't understand the logic in categorizing the NIV Study Bible as "Bible Notes" instead of "Study Bible". When I use the right and left arrows in a panel showing Study Bibles, I can see all my study bibles except this one.
Please explain.

Up until 2019, all study Bibles were classified as "Bible Notes." Then in September 2019, FL created the type "Study Bible."

My guess is that whoever added the NIV Study Bible (which looks like it was in 2020) forgot this and put it in the wrong type.

It should be a Study Bible. It's been fixed. Thanks.

It still shows up as a Type of Bible Notes in Logos.
Do I need to take some action to have it corrected in my Logos library?

to trigger a sync with the updates/metadata on Logos servers, it never hurts to enter "update resources" in the GO Box.

"update resources" will not trigger an update of your resource metadata. This will happen periodically while running the application, but the fastest way to see the changes is to restart the application and wait for a minute or two.

The product page also needs fixed--it shows the type as "Bible Notes": https://www.logos.com/product/192576/niv-study-bible-notes

I tried "update resources", which didn't work.
I tried removing the resource from my device and then downloaded it again, but it's still not right.
Any other ideas as to how I can get this fixed?0 -
"update resources" will not trigger an update of your resource metadata.
I apologize for my incorrect assumption of how update works. Feel free to delete the post to avoid any misinformation.

It still shows as "Bible Notes" on both the product web page, as well as in my Logos library.
I called Customer Service and they initially said it should be "Study Bible", but after being on hold for quite some time, they came back and said the resource type of "Bible Notes" is correct and that if I wanted it changed, I needed to submit a suggestion.
I am not satisfied with the support provided by Logos on this issue. This is frustrating.

This resource wasn't actually updated; it has been now.
Thanks for your persistence in this matter, and I apologise for our delay in getting this fixed.

Hi Mike. My apologies. I got a notification you responded to this thread and I was surprised the resource type change hadn't stuck for you.
I went back and re-read the thread and realized that you were talking about a different resource than the one I changed.
I made the change about five minutes ago. It should appear as a Study Bible sometime this morning.

It's been fixed and now appears as a Study Bible.
Thank you!
