Logos 8.16: Freeze on quit (while syncing)
Hi,
My Logos 8.16 will no longer shut down properly. It freezes on the sync-prompt after quitting — and I always have to resort to Force Quitting the application.
Any way to troubleshoot this, or am I left with having to re-install? Any help resolving this much appreciated.

I experience this also on a regular basis. You can post your logs here in the forum and maybe somebody is looking into it. After posting several logs and being in touch with support, I have given up. From my experience it seems to be more frequent if you
1) have a large library
2) use a complex layout with linked resources
3) have a slower internet connection.
Here is one of the previous reports that seem to have fixed it for somebody but not for me:
https://community.logos.com/forums/t/190438.aspx
My workaround at startup is:
1) Start into a blank layout.
2) Make sure Logos has settled and any sync has finished before loading your layout.
My workaround at closing is:
1) Close all resources
2) Wait for sync to finish
3) Close down Logos.
This approach works about 80% of the time.

Dan and Armin,
Please accept my apologies.
We already have a ticket for this problem and plan to fix it in a future update.
In the meantime, I recommend trying Armin's suggested workaround. Anyone who wishes to try this can go to Preferences and choose the option for Open to Blank Layout, it's available in the first setting on the Preferences menu.
