indent paragraphs in Bibles
NRSV, NIV and NLT indent their paragraphs in Logos, but on my computer, ESV and NET in Logos do not. For example:
(Sorry I'm not an IT person, so I don't know how to make that copy/paste smaller. I am using Logos 8.16.0.0002.)
Is there a separate setting for each resource about indentation, which I could change so ESV and NET would indent paragraphs? Or is this just an issue with ESV and NET?

Sarah, you aren't alone. I have found the ESV doesn't indent paragraphs. It is something I have raised in the past. It seems like a simple fix, but I admit I am not technical enough to know if it is or not.

My ESV indents paragraphs, at least where it does in a hardcopy. Eg 1 Sam 8:4, 8:10, 8:19
It may look like it does not because the verse number is in the indent, but if you turn the verse numbers off in visual filters, you can clearly see an indent. It is a smaller indent than the other bibles I agree, and smaller than the hardcopy.

I am now wondering if it's possible for the user to increase the amount of indent. I would prefer ESV's indents to be much larger, like NRSV, NIV, NLT, so when I just glance at ESV I can tell where there are new paragraphs.
I think I understand from the responses that it is not possible for the user to increase the indent (and the way to make indent a little clearer is to turn off verse numbers, but I really need to see the verse numbers). So just raising the question in case I've misunderstood and there is a way.

Where is Keep Smiling? Does Visual Filters allow a text substitution (earlier, deity names)? Ergo '1 ' > '1 '. and so on, to lengthen paragraph indents?

Apologies for not knowing an easy way to search for English paragraph indents (Logos/Verbum does not index special characters so cannot search for spaces/tab to use in a Visual Filter). Biblia Hebraica Westmonasteriensis with Westminster Hebrew Morphology 4.18 (BHW) includes two paragraph markers:
- ([field bible, content] <WestMorph ~ x>) ANDEQUALS ס
- ([field bible, content] <WestMorph ~ x>) ANDEQUALS פ
Visual Filter could be created using Milestone and Phrases at the start of paragraphs to increase indent.
Milestone for Matthew 1:1 includes Pericope so increasing indent would appear before Pericope instead of Bible text. Matthew 1:6 has a paragraph ident in the middle of the verse, which can be found by searching for phrase. Milestone search finds Matthew 1:17 that begins a paragraph.
Hiding Chapter and verse numbering shows more paragraph idents in Matthew 1 (Show Locator Bar is checked so clicking on a word updates location plus right click on a Bible word shows Reference)
Note: Chapter and Verse numbering have a number of misalignment issues with original language sentences. For example, Ephesians 1:3-14 is one long Greek sentence. Philippians 4:6 has the verse number in the middle of a Greek sentence so Philippians 4:5 has a sentence plus first few words of the next sentence. Historically chapter and verse numbering were added for use with concordances about 500 years ago.
