Looking up References to Scripture
Recently I was put in charge of our parish bulletin. Part of it involves providing a commentary on the Gospel reading. I was wondering if there was a way to search my library for works that discuss those verses. Any insights?

You could do a Milestone search such as {Milestone <John 6:35-40>} to find all resources (typically Bibles or Commentaries but could be others) that are tagged as focusing on that particular passage
Or you could just search for the reference <John 6:35-40> to find every time that passage is referenced
But I would have thought the easiest option would be to use a Passage Guide on the relevant passage and consult your linked commentaries.

I agree with Graham, go the text you want to search and then open the Passage Guide or Explorer and open the commentary section. It will show all your commentaries that have a milestone for that verse.

Thank you. In the past, I didn't really need to know how to use tools like this so I made do without them. But as my responsibilities increase, I'd like to make better use of my Verbum package.

Totally understand - hopefully a couple of screenshots will help
Here, I have selected a passage, right-clicked, ensure the reference option is selected on the right and am going to choose to run the Passage Guide on the right
At the top of the resultant Passage Guide is a Commentaries section - clicking one will open the commentary to the relevant article

Ah, that worked beautifully. Thanks again
