DATA BUG NIV84 NT Reverse Interlinear

I notice in NIV84 2 Timothy 2:16, mousing over the word avoid (periistemi) shows it is translated as love by NIV84 according to the information panel, and mousing over the NIV84 word love (mis-identified in information panel as periistemi) in Titus 2:4 shows it as translated love in NIV84 in the information panel, and translated as avoid in my favorite bibles list in the information panel. Some confusion going on, maybe scrambling 2Ti and Ti2 in NIV84 reverse interlinear?

In addition as I mentioned in another thread, the NIV84 Inline RI does not show at all, though the NIV RI Pane does.

The NIV84 NT Reverse Interlinear is broken, as we see in your other thread, thus the Translation section in information panel is unreliable (noting: you come from the correct translation "avoid" and the RI shows you which Greek word it came from and the Translation section gives information on how this word was translated in various bibles. You already know how it was translated in NIV84!)

Moving over other words, also coming from other bibles such as the NIV 2011, consistently the Translation section shows unrelated weird entries for NIV84 in the NT, which I think is a result of Logos looking it up in the broken RI.

The RI ribbon seems to still work for NIV84.

I am glad that I got the "real" NIV84 from a Libronix CD-ROM when I started with Logos back then...

Probably it should be possible to rework the existing NIV RIs to make RIs for the anglicized versions - I just assume that the few people at FL capable of working such data are stressed out with other projects.

YES! I’m sure a lot of people would be thrilled if they released a RI for the anglicized NIV84.

Actually a big thank-you Mick

In the past I was aware that the RIs only worked with the NIV (simplified spelling) Edition and I need to downgrade to use them.

I tend to work with the ESV for studies and that particular nugget had slipped from my mind.

This has been fixed with a recent update of NIV84 and its 2x RI datasets
