I have Christ's Incarnation by Charles Spurgeon in Wordsearch but it is not showing up in Logos? I am not seeing it as part of my library or that I own it in Logos.
I have Christ's Incarnation by Charles Spurgeon in Wordsearch but it is not showing up in Logos?
This is a weird one... Try this title in the Library window or the "Go" box (can't think of the "official" term for it...) at the top of the main Logos window:
"The Life of God in the Soul of Man"
or you can copy and paste this Resource ID:
LLS:WS_7A7C243B0BD3410C8C5C753A35CA8435
Either one should get you what you want if you own the resource. See the image below. The Logos resource title doesn't seem to match with the actual resource...
Hope this helps...

To clarify: The resource is, in fact, Spurgeon's "Christ's Incarnation," but the title that your Logos library recognizes, as well as the book info, is apparently from a work by an author named Scougal.
Logos should probably be notified about this but it's kind of a "Meh..." thing with me since I use an external library database on my computer that opens the "books" selected in the database in the appropriate Bible applications on my computer. As long as it opens the right resource in the right application, I don't really care how the application sees it... [:D]

However, I do not see this title in the WordSearch catalog, nor on the WordSearch Web Site.
I'm not at home to check my W.S. install but I also do not see it the Web App and I "Thought" I had picked up all of Spurgeon's works in W.S.

Indeed when I paste this into the search (LLS:WS_7A7C243B0BD3410C8C5C753A35CA8435) the book shows up, so this is some kind of a mismatch. I too purchased or so I thought all the works of Spurgeon but it seems in Logos I am missing this and another work titled
WordSearch titles will probably end up on the back burner. There were reasons WordSearch was my go to ministry program and Logos was not. If my head was stuck in academia Logos would have been sufficient.
In the trenches of Prison, Street and Homeless ministries and Bible studies, along with online and social media ministries, Instaverse, Zipscript and WordSearch were vital and essential tools. Logos was great for Sunday School and reading.
Wikipedia...Henry Scougal (1650–1678) was a Scottish theologian, minister and author.
Scougal produced a number of works while a pastor and professor of divinity at King's. His most recognized work, The Life Of God In The Soul Of Man

1) That is not, as best I can tell a Spurgeon title. It is Henry Scougal who live a fair number of years before Spurgeon.
2) The title and description do appear to go together.
3) What does not belong is the book cover/graphic.
This resource is the only thing by H. Scougal that I can find on the Logos site.

Note that this work appears to include "The Life of God in the Soul of Man"

MacDonald's is the most successful hamburger joint in the world, but their burger is a long ways from being the best hamburger. Just a word to the wise.
Correct.
Correct
Incorrect. Actually, what does not belong (in the resource that I, and the original poster, am referring to) is number 2--the title and description. They do go together, but they don't go with the resource for which I provided the resource ID. The resource is, indeed, Spurgeon's.
The resource targeted by the link above is published by Faithlife, 2009. The resource migrated from WORDsearch is published by WORDsearch Corp., 2006. Now that both companies are together, there only needs to be a single resource. I imagine that this is simply an oversight and will be rectified in time...

Hi Larry,
OK, Seeing the resource content I agree. While it won't change the resource description, you can change/edit the resource title to make it correct if you felt you needed to (until such a time as Faithlife fixes the title/description -or- they simply use the existing Logos title).
With previously not seeing the book content I wrongly surmised that the book graphic was the only issue.
I did not have this W.S. title to compare to the Logos one.
you can change/edit the resource title to make it correct
Good idea. That allows you to type the name of the resource, "Christ's Incarnation" in the Command Box and it will open the resource. Good call, Roy!
Thanks for the research by everyone on this thread. It looks like this was linked to an auto-converted Wordsearch EPUB. We already have this resource in Logos, so I've updated it to unlock https://ref.ly/logosres/LLS%3ACHRSTINCARN instead. (It may take a few hours for licenses to update.)
Fixed by purchasing resource and used Pastor's Appreciation coupon, now title appears as licensed.
May have do this also for:
The Practice of the Presence of God: The Best Rule of Holy Life Brother Lawrence
I've updated it
Got it. Thanks, Bradley!

This one (0:823) appears to be linked correctly to me; is there something that needs to be fixed?
I appear to have this title in my LOGOS library twice. Both titles pre-date the W.S. acquisition by at lease two years.

Content appears to be slightly different. # 1 seems to have an extra (16th) letter under the Letters category.
