Multi Resource linking/indexing Question

I'm trying to do the following with multi view
Using the Life Change study guide for Mark as the host
I open the multi view resource picker and add the NASB (ok so far)
I then type Lexham Context Commentary in the resource picker, nothing comes up. I even tried making a one resource collection and the collection doesn't show up in the picker either.
I've checked the indexing type for each resource
The study guide is bible
The NASB is bible (nasb)
The LCC is bible (nrsv)
The only combo I can get to work is using the NRSV as host then the study guide and then the LCC. This doesn't work for me because I need the bible and the LCC to follow the study guide(host).
I should also mention that I can open the LCC to Mark by itself and it looks ok. I also can get the study- NASB combo to work, I just can't add the LCC to it.
The issue must be in the index type somehow but I don't understand why. All bible index types should work together right?
Any thoughts or is this a bug I need to report?

Is is possible (just guessing), in your LCC, that when you're adding resources, the LCC is in a non-Bible section (where the index goes to sleep)? At least that's the issue on the mobiles.

I cannot test as I do not have the Study guide resource, hopefully someone else can. The LCC does appear for me in multiview for NASB and NRSV.
It may be you have a corrupt index, so you could try to reindex the specific resources involved, Enter in the Go box 'Reindex {Abbreviated Title | Resource Id}', as detailed https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_8_Commands under 'Indexing'.
You can get the specific resource ID by looking at the very bottom of Info of the resource (CTRL/CMD+Shift+i).If that does not work, or if you just want a one shot and you have time to kill, you could try 'Rebuild Index' in the Go box, to rebuild all indexes, but it can take a good while to complete if you have thousands of resources, and will very likely interrupt your workflow, as it will discard your current indexes first, and it is very CPU intensive.

Thanks for the suggestion Denise.
I should have stated I am on a Windows 10 laptop running Logos 8.17.0.0011.
Just to clarify- I'm not trying to add to the LCC I'm trying to add the LCC to a study guide(the host) and the NASB in that order.
If I open the LCC separately it opens on Mark 1:15, which is where my bible is set. But if I try to add it to the the study guide or NASB from within multi view it doesn't show at all in the resource picker to add it, no matter what verse the guide or bible are set to.
It is only visible in the picker if the host resource is the NRSV.
Hope this helps

Oops, I misread. But I only mention the mobiles, since their logic is similar to the multi-view on the desktop ... if there's no section-match, the logic disconnects (removes resource views in multi-view; blanks the display on the mobiles). On the desktop linking, if no match, it just leaves the resource where it's at.

Thank you MJ for responding, I have read your tip.
I believe I correctly checked the indexing for my resources and after reading your tip post again I still feel confident that I had it correct, but it still doesn't work.
If you believe I am still in error please explain, because I'm still without a solution to my problem.
This is part of what I got from your post.
"Look for matching indexes:
- Ignore page numbers
- Ignore Bibliographic item
- Treat all Bible indexes as equal; they vary because of different verse mapping. The system automatic adjusts for different verse mapping"
And this is what indexing type my resources have:
- The study guide - bible
- The NASB - bible (nasb)
- The LCC - bible (nrsv)
Thanks again

Yes, they should work but I don't have the Life Guide volume to test to see why it doesn't work.
To make a final try, I would open the Life Guide to a place where the reference box shows the Bible reference i.e. in the main text AND with the reference box on the Bible not page number.
Then I would start adding the other resources. If one does not take (remember to click outside the input area for it to take), assume that you have found a bug that needs to be reported.

same here, though I used the original NASB.
What I can imagine: the LCC is actually two resources, OT and NT, so it's relevant not to choose the wrong one of those. It seems it doesn't work to add the OT commentary to a multiview pane where the master resource is only indexed to the NT.

Yes I tried it with the NASB 1977, the NASB 95 (original lockman foundation line version) and the NASB95 (paragraph) edition and they all worked fine.
I could be wrong but I did not think the Lexham Context Commentary: Old Testament was avaible yet.

Maybe I mixed it up with another OT resource, but I think it's consistent that when I try to add an OT commentary (or an LXX) to a multiview pane that has an NT-only resource as its master, the OT resource won't show up.
But it's not an issue for both of us to have LifeChange Mark as the master resource with a NASB second and the LCC NT third.

Are you sure about the spelling you used? When I copy&paste "Lexham Context Commentary" into the multi-view resource picker, several resources show up, since it seems to be looking into any metadata field of the resource (so the Lexham Geographic Commentary and the EEC show up together with Osborne's Commentaries and two other books). Maybe you slipped on the keyboard with Lexham.

I had to reindexed the Life change study guide again(2nd time) and now everything is working as intended.
Thank you again
