[BUG ?] Automatically created notes

I am currently working through the book "Prison Epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and 1 & 2 Thessalonians" and noticed that when I fill a text field, a note with the same content is automatically created after about 10 secs. I can delete this note and the text in the text field remains. But since I have already many notes, I don't want to slow down my system even further with these (apparently unnecessary) notes tht are automatically created.

I attach a screenshot. The first text field also had a note, however, I deleted it.

The bug is in the failure to clear the text box instantly. There is no storage associated with text boxes ... they are simply linked to notes for storage ... this is most obvious in the workflows.

Yes, the workflows save any text in notes files. However, in this case. as the screenshot shows, I can delete the note and the text still remains in the textbox. To me, this seems to indicate that the note is not necessary. Why is it then created?

Actually, it indicates a bug. But it isn't necessary.

Probably so that people who type important stuff in these boxes have it accessible later, including outside the context of the workflow.

Yes, as I indicated it is a bug. But I believe that if you close the workflow or application and reopen the workflow the text will not be there? Am I wrong?

This is not a workflow. This happens in the resource "Prison Epistles: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and 1 & 2 Thessalonians" by Irving Jensen. Even if I close Logos and start it up again, the text is still there.

We're in the process of migration resource inputs to notes. It's possible that your migration is still in progress. You won't see note icons on short input fields, but you will see them on multi-line responses. If you empty the field, it will delete the note. If you delete the note, it will empty the field. If it's not working that way for you right now, it probably has something to do with our migration process.

Many thanks for your feedback. This is very helpful. I have two questions:

1) I assume that my screenshot above shows a "short input field". However, it still created a note. Is this the intended behavior?

2) I deleted the notes, but the text is (at the moment) still there. Will I lose the text of input fields once the migration process is complete? I also deleted the notes of larger, multi-line input fields. Again, at the moment, the text is still there even without the note. What do I need to do that I don't lose the text in these short as well as long input fields?

Yes, but it shouldn't show the note icon. That'll go away soon.

I'd undelete the notes and wait a week or so until the process is complete.

Just as quick feedback: Things are now just as you described: Short entry fields don't have notes. Longer text fields have notes attached. Works great.
