L9 Denominational Base Packages
Any one in particular catch your eye as being a really good combo?
With L6-8, I spent considerable time scanning all the various denominational base packages, mostly Gold level and lower. With each of those versions I found a few packages that really stood out, in particular catering to my field of systematic theology (L6 Reformed Gold was an amazing deal). They were wonderful ways of rounding out my library's theology section.
I'm excited about the new features of L9, but so far I'm not finding any denominational packages that really stand out, at least for my interests. I've got most of the significant works in systematics in FL's catalog, so there's little for me to pick up this upgrade cycle. Right now, what's looking most attractive is Academic Premium: it provides the Full Feature set at a reasonable price--cheaper for me than any of the Gold package options--plus fills up some of the holes I realized I have in my library in the area of biblical reference. Most likely this is the one I'll go with.
How about you? Find any exciting denominational base packages?

Standard Silver primarily for Carta and then the Academic packages is what caught my eye.

No I didn't. I recall in L6 and L7 gleaning from a number of denominational offerings. I didn't find much when L8 came out. I suspect it has to do with decisions FL make about what should and shouldn't be in a denominational package.
I ended up getting Standard Diamond for about $350 and Academic Premium for just over $50. They both had good value for me and were within my budget.

The Verbum Eastern Rite lineup--principally for study of the Early Church Fathers using recent translations thereof--is my fave, given what I already own.

None of the denominational packages work for me. I am holding out for a restoration package. Until then, I recently used the 50% off coupon to upgrade to Portfolio 8 and chose Platinum 9 for just under $200. Most I could afford this go-round. I wanted to skip base packages all together and just get one commentary set that isn't in any of them, but I did not have the $700 for it.

Yes, that's the second recommendation I've heard for that package! With L8 I picked Ordinariate (Bronze, I think) as it had lots of titles that interested me--and I'm a protestant. That's why I ask around--FL has sometimes come up with some very interesting mixes, and it's useful to look outside one's own tradition(s).

As a Catholic who's looking at buying--among others--a Lutheran 9 library, I completely agree.

Well the Verbum packages actually had a number of things that were previously on my wishlist, and a few that were on my pre-pubs or community pricing.

I went cross-denominational verbum, orthodox, reformed, pentecostal, and I went back and forth between messianic - baptist and settled with baptist. I am a big systematics guy that recently converted from protestantism to orthodoxy. Unfortunately, I feel there is a big lack of systematics over the past few years at least finding their way into packages. The theology xl expansion does not seem exciting but that might be because of the resources I already own. There have been a few that came out recently that I had hoped to see in one of the packages but they did not make their way in. Perhaps because they sell well on their own? I personally want to see more liturgical, historical, and mystical theology resources. Logos is missing so many monastic resources that are essential to the study of theology from my perspective.. maybe next year we will end up with more systematics in packages.. I feel your pain 0 -
For those who buy a few packages, do you contact the customers support and ask for buying it all at once and have an adjusted dynamic pricing? I wonder what experiences that is. Is it easy to communicate about this?

You really need to buy them one at a time or you miss out on dynamic pricing, just buy one and to the extent there is a crossover the other package prices will fall.

In the past I live chat with the customer service and they can adjust the dynamic pricing there. I heard it is better than buying them separately. But it depends since dynamic pricing is unpredictable to us.

For me it came down to these: My purchase must include the full features of Logos 9. The new Carta material would be nice. The new Base Package should include interesting and useful books at a reasonable price ratio for me. I ended up getting the Anglican Diamond. The “best for the buck” for me.
The IVP Dictionaries (8 vols.) were a plus, since I didn’t own them previously. Besides them the Anglican Diamond offered a host of commentaries (Belief -series, College Press NIV, FOTL, ITC, Goldingay’s “For Everyone” -series) and interesting monographs that I didn’t previously own. For example these:

which get a high regard with John F. Evans’ Guide to Biblical Commentaries and Reference Works, 10th edition (as do the IVP Dictionaries).
I must admit that St. Augustine’s translations to the 21st century in Verbum Platinum / Diamond and much other stuff made those packages very tempting for me.

Lutheran Starter and Lutheran Bronze, principally. With my Dynamic Pricing, both offer a number of commentaries on the cheap, as well as some potentially useful resources for studying certain aspects of the Reformation.
