Description: A new visual filter in Bibles highlights People, Places, and Things, with links to Factbook pages for when you need quick reference. Smart Factbook suggestions are also now integrated with the Go box and search results.

It seems that the Factbook visual filter is turned on by default. Can the default be changed to off or can I globally turn off that filter?

Just click on the icon and it will turn on and off.

Yes - but I think John is looking for the option to disable the filter across all resources.
As far as I am aware this is not currently possible.

My issue was having to turn off the Factbook Filter in every single Bible.

I'm surprised this isn't built it, more surprised I didn't notice it during the beta test.SineNomine said:John C Connell Jr. said:My issue was having to turn off the Factbook Filter in every single Bible.

I use Logos (former Wordsearch user) for personal Bible study and I love this new feature.

One "backdoor" way to turn it off is to set the Corresponding Words visual filter to click rather than hover, which can be set for all appropriate resources.

I really like the new Factbook integration. But I face the following challenge:
I have the setting that when I click on a word the
- Information window displays more information on a word, and
- same lemma in a Bible is displayed wherever it appears.
This has served me well so far. I am not so keen on having the Information window display more information as soon as I hover over a word.
However, now the Factbook window also appears when I click on a word.
Are there any suggestions on how to deal with this? What come to my mind is that I either have to select the hover-option for the information window, OR Logos will implement a setting that the Factbook window opens when I double-click or triple-click a word.

I simply click on the Facebook Icon and turns the highlights on and off.
I set the info window to click rather than hover as I know what I want it to look up rather than have it populate where ever my mouse is. You can find the item for Factbook in the Information window and click on it there to populate the Factbook.
That is how I manage the matter. I hope it gives you some ideas.

This is a possible workaround. Ideally, I would like to have options (like double-click) to start the Factbook.

I just upgraded to Logos 9 Gold. The Factbook visual filter is not working. I click on the Factbook icon in tookbar which does add highlighted lines beneath various words but if I hover over a word, nothing happens, No popups. Is there a setting somewhere I need to turn on? I've checked program settings but don't see anything there.

Hi Pete - and welcome to the forums
It should work without any additional setup
Please start a new thread in this forum describing the issue and including a screenshot (using the paperclip icon) and we'll try to help get it sorted

It sounds to me like your application hasn't yet updated the Unified Annotation Vocabulary dataset. Wait for that to finish downloading. After that you will likely be prompted to restart the application. Then everything should be working.

Which icon is this?

See the link in the initial post, specifically the first point under "Use Visual Filters".

Does anyone know of a way to adjust the size of the blue line under each linked word in the text. On my laptop the blue line is hard to see.

There isn't currently any way to change this.
It has been requested on the Faithlife feedback site - https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/add-underline-style-setting-to-factbook-visual-filter - you might want to add your vote to that suggestion
