If I'm reading a Bible or book and click on a word, is there a way to easily look this up in factbook (such as with press and hold) or do I need to copy and paste? If not, this would be a valuable addition. Also, will some level of visual filters ever come to mobil?  I'm using Android.

This is not currently possible if you have the "Selection" option selected on the left side. However any of the various reference options on the left side that actually show up will provide a link to Factbook.

Also, will some level of visual filters ever come to mobil?  I'm using Android.

I don't know the status of this.

Both of these sound like good candidates for suggestions here: https://feedback.faithlife.com/

I’m really sorry, but I have no idea what this means - can you unpack or share a screenshot? Is it specific to Android instead of iOS?

To clarify, I have no idea what it means to select a “Selection” option on the left side.

In context menu (opened by selecting text and right clicking)

To select = to click on

Selection = top item on the left hand side is usually labelled "Selection" as it is what was selected text when you opened the menu

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

But the options on the left are the back button (top) or home button (bottom) - the pop-up and share menu don’t seem to match either. Are we sure this relates to the mobile app?

I'm so sorry, I lost track of the fact that this post was in the Mobile forum. My answer applies to the desktop software.

I don't believe there's an option to automatically look in Factbook for the selected text.

The current work around is to copy the lemma, open factbook, and paste.

Creating a link to factbook from a long press would really be a great improvement and make the feature more accessible to MANY users. Someone mentioned something to the effect, "Factbook will eliminate many google searches." I agree... but only if users can find it!

Love Factbook. It has officially become my go to on Mobile. I have noticed, however, that the Mobile Version pulls up resources that are not in my library. This does not happen with the Desktop Version.

Can you share an example of which section and which Factbook page this occurs on?

Ah. I think it has been happening with resources that I have hidden on the Desktop. I hid the the old ISBE because I have the newer edition. Factbook on Mobile is pulling up my hidden resource...and on Desktop Factbook it says no results for the Key Article

Here is what I get on Mobile Factbook:

Thanks for this information. I'll create a case for this bug.

Thank you Andrew. I have plenty of other dictionaries/encyclopedias but it does not pull any of them up on Desktop Factbook and pulls up only a hidden resource on Mobile. This happens on other searches as well...but not all.

The Key Article section is not intended to display all resources. It's looking for articles in a specific list of resources, or (if not found) will fall back to a single resource based on prioritization.

The Dictionaries section comes closer, but will show only articles that have been specifically tagged for the Factbook page.

There is a Search link at the bottom of the See Also section that can be used to try and find all places in your library that may be referring to the subject of the Factbook page.

Got it. I have ISBE, Revised Edition set as a priority so I am sure that as Factbook continues to be refined it will pull it in more often instead of trying to pull in an older version that I have hidden. Great work on this and, again, it is very nice to have this on Mobile!
