Open note to the Prez (Bob P.)

The experimental user voice web site has developed sufficiently that I believe it is time for Logos to show that they are paying attention to it. I, for one, would like to see Logos go through the current suggestions and change statuses with notes explaining why, requests that
(a) don't request a deliverable feature -move to "completed" with note as to why
(b) are currently in development or scheduled - move to "accepted"
(c) merge requests that are essentially duplicates if the software permits
This should be enough to assure people that Logos is watching user voice as well as to model the kind of suggestions that are appropriate to this process (i.e. things with defined deliverables).

We are watching it, and are already coding some features in response.
We wanted to avoid responding for a while, though, to let users vote up/down the important things without the outside influence of our saying "yes", "no", or "too hard", etc.
We'll start doing feedback in the future, but right now we're just buried with doing the things you actually want us to do. :-) We're hiring, though, and arranging for growth, so we can have not only the coders necessary but the staff to monitor and interact with the forums more. (I try, but I already have a packed day just staying on top of things inside the building...and travel has been picking up.)

Please take the weekend off and rejoice in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus! This is "of first importance." [:D]

Mr. P:
I think that I can speak for all of us (I hope). We really do appreciate your attention to our comments and requests. I know of no other company the size of Logos whose president is so interactive (I use the term liberally) with his customers. Thank you so much for checking in and responding as frequently as you do. I (we) wish you and your family (the entire Logos family) a very Happy Easter...He has risen...He's risen indeed!

Surely some of the items that are under development are on the Uservoice list. I believe it is critical for the success of the Uservoice model for there to be some form of official word, even if it is just to move the projects currently underway to the "accepted" area. The order of items has been relatively stable of late and many users have probably used up most if not all of their votes. If users are going to continue to invest in this feedback system I believe that they need confirmation that Logos attends to the Uservoice forum. Otherwise I fear that it may be perceived as a black hole where suggestion don't get any notice.

Gee, Black hole. Where have you heard that phrase before Bob? [:D]
