Logos 9 Base Package

Probably a dumb question, but I have Logos 8 Silver package. Can I upgrade just the Logos 9 Base package without buying a completely new feature set?

You can do just a library upgrade if you wish. Or if you don't want to upgrade at all, you can wait until the free engine comes out this Spring and update your software and then you only have the new features that come in Basic. If you go to this page, you can compare books or features and by what works for you. [View:https://www.logos.com/compare-packages:550:0]

Hi Donnie, welcome to the forums!
Here are the upgrade options for Logos 9: https://www.logos.com/ways-to-upgrade-to-logos-9
There's no way to get a base package without a feature set. "Base package" always refers to a library and a feature set.

I believe the library-only option is only available for Faithlife Connect customers (since they rent features, and probably wouldn't also want to buy them).
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Incidentally, from what I've read on the forums, Logos 9 Silver appears to be a very popular base package, as it contains Carta (which users have been requesting for years to be added to Logos).
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

It's also available to Verbum Now subscribers. Anyone else... well, you can always try contacting Sales and offering them money to sell you a Library bare and see what happens.

Serious question, not joking. What would you get if you're already subscribed to Connect(NL) and you subscribe to Verbum Now? Just wondering.

All of the features in the Verbum 9 Full Feature Set that aren't in the Logos 9 Full Feature Set. And a free book per month, and you can read more here: https://verbum.com/now
EDIT: I should note that, for the same price, Faithlife Connect (No Library) is vastly superior to Verbum Now, and I've been complaining to Faithlife about this intermittently for years now to no avail (thus far).

Yes, there’s multiple ways:
subscribe to Connect. First month free if you haven’t tried yet. When you have an active subscription, which has the feature sets with temporary license, you now have an option to choose to buy the library upgrade only, which has no feature set.
contact sale, ask them to have library upgrade Without feature, they may be able to help you.
ask me directly if nothing else work.

I've been trying to get my mind around Logos features. Usually you think of software as doing all the tricks, but Logos connects everything to all sorts of building blocks. I will leave it to FL as to how they have upgraded from previous versions, but it is clear that they are evolving all the sub-features. My guess is that there is some dynamic pricing even in the base packages for features when you move to the latest version.
If L9 completely stops working in two years, my upgrade cost me less than a cup of coffee at McDonalds each day. Chump change because what I got will deliver long past that.

Yes, dynamic pricing applies to features, as is visible on the product pages for base packages if you scroll down far enough to see the features.
