First, when I click the button to "remove formatting," it turns the text gray, as if that's the default format color, which is very odd. I know how to change the default font and size, but there's no option for color. I end up manually selecting all text and then choosing the font color as black.
That's not right. Black should be the default font color.
Second, OS X allows the typing of accents and such by holding down a keyboard key. I can type š merely by typing s, waiting, and then choosing whether I want ß, ś, or š. Ditto with things like ē, etc. Since I work a lot with semitics, I end up typing transliteration in my notes fairly often, so I was surprised to find out that holding down, e.g. s merely resulted in ssssssssssss.
That also isn't right.
