I use the interlinear icon a lot. Is there a way to turn off the "Reverse Interlinear Pane"? every single time, when I start up Logos or open my Bible, I have to click the icon... uncheck Reverse Interlinear Pane ... Is there a way to permanently uncheck it so that if I want it I can check it? It's a kind of pain... Huh?

Hmm. It stays off for me after I uncheck it (I'm using the KJV on macOS and Logos 9).

Is this happening in one Bible or multiple Bibles? Which one(s)?

In general, resources should open in the state they were when closed.

If you open a layout then the resources in that layout should open to the way the layout was set up when named.

Well maybe it's me and my fat fumbling fingers. Here's what I now did.

I open Logos to my layout I normally open it to. checked Interlinear and yep the Reverse Interlinear Pane (RIP) was checked.

So I then unchecked RIP and then updated the layout. Closed Logos and re-opened and then the RIP was not checked. Maybe all this time I didn't update the layout. But now, the RIP is not checked at least in that layout. I'll remember this for future layouts.

Before I updated the layout, the RIP was always checked when I opened Logos.

Because of this...I don't think Logos automatically saves things on closing. I think I have to update layouts and things like that.

Correct. Logos does not automatically save layouts. You need to manually update.

TIP: To save time, you can type "Update Active Layout" in the Command Box and then drag it to the Shortcuts Bar.

Try this

Open Logos to a blank layout.

Open a bible with an interlinear

Change the setting on for the interlinear

Close Logos and restart to a blank layout

Open the said bible - the setting you left it at should be retained.

Open a layout

Change the settings on one or more resources (do not update the layout)

Move to the home page

Give it a few seconds and check the layout menu

The top layout on the top right should match the layout you had when you moved to the Home Page.

If you now choose your named layout from the menu on the left you would find that it opens to the state it was when you first opened it. Because you did not update the layout before moving to the home page.

As Levi suggested many folk keep an Update Active Layout shortcut on the shortcut bar.

Mike - it works. In Mat 16:24 - One must deny himself. I find more and more if I would just get past me, I could learn a lot of things.
