Absolutely (almost) thrilled with Preaching Mode
I ran a brief test by creating a sample sermon with a few slides, and then sent the slides to Proclaim. I went on air in Proclaim to my tv, and then clicked on Preach in the Sermon Builder. A new window opens up with the slides and my notes. I clicked on the first slide and … bing! … the sermon notes page advanced the slide in Proclaim! Yes!
Ah, but there's an almost. The Preach window does NOT open in Logos, but in your web browser . . . and we meet in a little rented conference room without internet access.
So close, and yet so far!

I would turn off your internet and see if it still loads to the browser it might. Browser pages can made available offline, so the browser may just be demonstration software in this instance. See if it works. Carla

I will copy something I just shared in a different thread, hope it helps:
We designed Preaching Mode to be a "mobile first" feature, meaning we anticipate most people using Preaching Mode from their tablet or mobile device. Early on in development, we spent time talking with people about their preaching habits, including their tools. Overwelmingly, people told us they use paper (about 50%) or they use a mobile device (of which most specifically said 'tablet").
The good news is that Preaching Mode works perfectly offline on our iOS and Android mobile apps. We designed it that way because we know reliability is paramount, we don't want to let you down in such a high stakes situation or require you to have trustworthy internet.
We download a copy of the sermon doc locally to your phone, and when you launch preaching mode (which you can do from any Sermon Doc), you are using a saved copy of the sermon. You only need internet to 1x to download your sermon docs to your phone. Once they are synced, no internet is needed.
You can use Preaching Mode offline on phones and tablets on iOS and Android.
If for any reason you can't or don't prefer to use your mobile device-- please note that we do download the entire sermon to your browser when you load it on desktop. You can go offline and still use the sermon doc in the browser, though refereshing would blow it away.
In either case, you can control the proclaim slides IF you have internet.0 -
Got to say, this is dumb. Why would the decision be made to load the preaching mode in the browser? Logos desktop should be able to function without the internet. You should be able to take a laptop anywhere and use the full program. FaithLife needs to rethink this one.

That's the "almost" in my title, on the nose.
I've ordered a mobile hotspot from Verizon ($20 a month), and I'll see how it works on Sunday. I've wished for this kind of connectivity for many a long year, ever since I started using Keynote when it was first released.

You can export it to your web browser and then go offline, and it should work just fine.
We'd like to bring an offline solution in the desktop app, but we decided to focus on the mobile app first, since that's what the majority of preachers use in the pulpit based on our survey data. Vote on the desktop offline feature: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/744.

Gregory - Thank you for raising this issue. It was a show stopper last week. I tested it at home and everything worked great. When I got to church with no internet, it didn't work. Thankfully I could still access it in Logos, just not the view I expected. I will try bringing it up before I leave, but if it doesn't get fixed, I will need to go back to PPT files.

I feel for you Jeffery. I don't preach that often but I'm doing a 6-week series at a church that doesn't have reliable internet. The hotspot worked beautifully. In fact, it worked so well that we were able to live-stream the service as a test, and will be able to do that from this point on.

We have ordered some of these (UK versions) for elderly members that do not have WiFi. Along with a Kindle Fire it is the minimum they need to take part in the streaming services. They have been great.
Be careful to monitor your data cap before starting the service though. You don't want the service to stop partway through.
Imagine what it would do for your reputation if your YouTube video finished halfway through a prayer and your last words were 'We pray for all those involved in prostitution..."
