How do I search for all the places in a book? I am not doing an exact search. Meaning, if I do this one search in John's gospel, it should return results like Capernaum, Galilee, Jerusalem, etc with the verse reference. Even better would be if it can also include results like sea, mountain, field, etc. Thanks for the help!

Hi Beno - and welcome to the forums

How do I search for all the places in a book? I am not doing an exact search. Meaning, if I do this one search in John's gospel, it should return results like Capernaum, Galilee, Jerusalem, etc with the verse reference. Even better would be if it can also include results like sea, mountain, field, etc.

I would use a Louw-Nida search for this - this classifies words into their Semantic Domains and is searchable in Bibles with reverse interlinears (or original language texts). The mapping is only available for the New Testament.

The string to use is <ln 93.389-615> - you can see this from the Louw-Nida Lexicon on the left of the screenshot
