I installed L3 today and it is asking for a serial number now to unlock Logos Bible Software 4 and its resources. Is this normal?
Weird. I've never heard of that happening. Do you have a serial number that came with your L4 disc? What happens if you try following the instructions in that Tip and enter that serial number? I know that L3 can't read L4 resources, but maybe there are some Libronix resources that shipped with your L4 and which are backward compatible with L3, which doing this would give you access to. However if you've only installed L3 in order to be able to unlock Libronix files and sync licenses so that you can have access to them in L4, then there'd be no point. So I wouldn't worry about it. Seems this Tip can be ignored with no problems, however it might get annoying if it comes up every time you run L3.
I've seen a thread about this some months back... but I can't remember enough details to pick it out of the forum via Google (I tried). I believe one of the Logos employees helped someone resolve it, making the activation request stop. I don't remember how, but I am confident there is a solution. You might consider calling Tech Support, they should be familiar (crossing my fingers) with this issue.
Shift+Click on the words "SerialNumber" and hit the "Delete" button that appears.
It is on a macbook pro in parallels. So there is no delete key. The delete labeled key works like a backspace on PC. Supposedly <fn> <delete> would work, but I did not have success.

You don't need a Delete key. A button labeled "Delete" should appear once you Shift+Click on the words "serial number" in the dialog box. Just click on that button.
I was clicking on the "serial number" in the wrong place. Once I clicked the one next to the blank line, it showed up. Thanks.
