Is Logos 9 compatible with MacOS 11 AKA "Big Sur?"
Hello Logos users! I'm wondering if Logos 9 has been verified to work on the new MacOS 11 / Big Sur? I saw one post that seemed to show there was a problem with file permissions. Has anyone else encountered issues? I have several papers coming up, so I'm on the edge on deciding to upgrade or just wait a few more weeks for both Logos 9 and Big Sur to be more stable.

Hi Mike - and welcome to the forums
The only official statement I have seen was from Philana earlier today - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/196388.aspx
There are also reports of it working correctly - it seems to be working fine for me

Ah, I was trying to find a post like that. I know Big Sur has not had a smooth launch, and if I did upgrade my desktop, I don't want to discover Logos won't open (constant fear with these major upgrades).

I know it is exciting to upgrade to a new OS, but why chance it if you have a big paper due and you need Logos to function? Just my view since you are asking for opinions.0 -
I know what you're saying. I'm usually more cautious with my wife's laptop, but my system is usually the one that tests these big updates first. Just getting a gauge of the safety level. If there are a ton of comments that it hasn't been working or buggy, that's a sure sign to avoid.

I have been on Big Sur on my MacBook Pro since Sunday, and using Verbum 9 both yesterday and today - I have not noticed anything different, works perfectly.

I heard some early Macs were bricked by Big Sur but that's the only negative I've heard. You will never make a mistake by waiting a few days. You know there will likely be some patch for Big Sur as comes with every new OS Apple comes out with. As far as I can tell, the latest version of Catalina is the most stable macOS on the planet.

I've been on Big Sur for a couple of weeks now, and have had NO issues at all. Load time is faster. Response time is faster. Overall much improved performance of Logos (and other apps, like Office products). As a matter of fact, I don't think I've seen Logos perform better.
PS: This is the case on two supertanker machines - a 2013 iMac and a 2019 MacBook Pro.

I upgraded my early 2020 MacBook Air with an i3 processor to Big Sur. Everything, including Logos 9, seems a bit smoother and faster! I've seen no glitches with Logos 9 at all so far.

Good day PN,
Wondering if you've encountered any anomalies with Verbum and Big Sur. I have since getting a Mac Mini (M1 SOC, 16 Gig, 2 TB) Desktop with Big Sur OS.
When correcting spelling in a created note from a pasted web-article, right-clicking to change to the suggested correct spelling deletes the entire sentence that the misspelled word was in.
Verbum regularly crashes when starting it up, each time sending an error report to Apple.
Clicking on a link that references an already open resource, Verbum opens a duplicate copy of the very resource that is already opened, usually creating a completely new panel (as opposed to opening the duplicate copy in one of the already established panels).
Thanks for your input.
