Do you have an iPhone and if so how much better is the reading experience?
The reason I ask is I have been thinking about getting an iPhone, but perhaps I would be better off with a regular cell phone/plan and an iPad. The $30 per month data charge added on top of the price of the iPhone is many times greater than the price of an iPad over a two year period. In addition, I don't find I need to check my email or surf the web in locations were WiFi is not available that often. It is convenient, but it is far from essential for me.
If the reading experience is vastly supperior over the iPhone, that just might tip the scales for me and others.

Mine is syncing and between my three family members we have a tone of apps in iTunes and it insists on installing all of them the first sync. When trying to stop it so I could pick and choose it crashed iTunes. So I am patiently waiting.
I will post more later. Also posting my unboxing/first impressions video later today or tomorrow after worship. I of course will be mentioning Bible study in that.

Ok, this is really nice. If this is where we are going to start with the iPad, I can't even envision where we are going to end up. The interface is very smooth, as well as quick to respond. Because of the larger screen, reading is much easier on the eyes. This will not replace the heavy lifting my MBP does with L4, but it will spend much more time on my desk rather than dragging it around with me.

Got mine, but my iTunes freezes when I try to sync my apps. I assume the powers that be at apple are working on it. I can still download apps via wifi from the itunes store.
Other than that, it is pretty cool. I am geeked! I will take mine to church tomorrow and use my logos Bibles. I plan to sit in the back row.

Why when I'm trying to sign in to logos on my iPad is it asking me to signup instead of recognizing me as having an existing profile?

I have it! And it is way better than I expected. I really enjoy it. I feel bummed having to go back to using my MBP while my iPad charges / downloads some new apps.
