Just got a new computer, have already upgraded to version 9 on my other computer. I know the wiki explains how to install and transfer the files for version 8...  but how do I go about doing this with version 9? Can someone update the wiki article?

I am trying not to have to go thru the whole download the library and index thing...

Nothing's changed, to the best of my knowledge.

To my knowledge, Logos 9 is improved version of L8 with some new features. There was no major rewriting. It should work same.

I used the wiki install instructions -

    https://wiki.logos.com/quick_installation_onto_multiple_computers

I downloaded the setup file from the logos download page - It installed vs. 8.17.

I went to https://www.logos.com/install - was able to download the ver.9 setup file - installed and now have ver. 9

I then copied the folders from my current ver. 9 Logos directory -   the Data, Documents, and Users folders...

When I run the new Logos on the new computer - it 'updates' but none of the resources are there?

How do I now get this all updated and synced?

If you have a large library installed on another computer, and you want to speed up the install (Logos not having to download all the resources and reindex the library) there is a way of installing just the program and then copying your already downloaded resources and index. Much quicker way of installing. You need to go read the wiki on the install.

But of course, when you have problems then perhaps just doing it the original way and waiting for Logos to download many gigabits of resources...

FIXED . but not exactly sure why. Using the theory of Method 2 --  I deleted the whole Logos install on the new computer and started over. I found the Logos 9 setup file and downloaded it - and ran it. I used the normal install and not the custom. When it installed and began trying to download the files, I quit / stopped the program. I THEN removed the 3 folders in the \Logos folder... and copied my working folders from the other computer over.

BUT the biggest change I think was that I logged out of Logos as it had logged me in with my FaithLife account... then logged back in using my Logos account. I know they are suppose to be linked - but the Logos account synced everything and the FaithLife account would see any of my Logos stuff.

I won't worry too much about it at this point since everything is working  :-)

I will just remember to always log into my Logos account when using this.  Thanks for trying to help  :-)
