I understand the concept of bumping a post. What is the significance of the number with it?
The forum software prevents duplicate posts for spam purposes. The addition of numbers or something else gets around that.

I know ... it's boring ... sometimes I go with bump, bumps, bumping, bumpilation just to break the boredom of keeping track of what has already been used.
