Is there a way to show a note's metadata in the Notes Detail pane?

Is there a way to display or get to the metadata of notes — more specifically, the created date — within the Notes Detail pane?
So far, the only way I've found to view created and modified date is to set the middle pane (not sure what it's called...notes selected based on filtering?) to the default view, then hover over the dimmed words at the bottom of each note that indicate how long ago the note was created (e.g two weeks ago, etc).
I would like to leave my middle pane set to compact mode. And in that mode, I can't see the created or modified date. And I can't find a way to display either date in the note itself (where I would prefer to see it).

You can see modified date if you hover over the icon indicated below:
Note that I removed the Sidebar, so there are only two columns. If you want more detail about dates, go back to default view of the left hand column.

Thanks, Dave. I tried your suggestion, and yes, it'll show you when it was last saved, but it doesn't actually give you the date; just how long ago (as in your illustration). Hovering over the dimmer words in the list of notes pane DOES show the actual date created. So I can just use that since it seems there's no way to see the metadata in the notes detail pane.
Next question: How do I submit a function request like this? Sure would be nice to have access to the Notes metadata.
