WS Book - Bible Characters - Problem
In WS I had the book "Bible Characters" which I could search for say "Peter" and it would go to the topic or heading of Peter.
The book is now available in Logos... and I did check my transition url and it says "Available" - but when I do a search in Logos in the book, the options are "Article", "Paragraph" or "Sentence". I tried all 3 and could not find the topic or article or pages that had Peter as the heading.
I think this is a problem as the book essentially becomes useless because I cannot find what I'm looking for or I have to spend time going through the whole book to find the character I'm looking for.
Any suggestions?

Is this the resource? https://www.logos.com/product/6733/bible-characters
It appears to be six resources, not one. Peter is in volume four.

Where are you seeing those options?

If you are using the resources JT mentioned, and assuming they are properly indexed on your system, then you should be able to type a character's name into the box at the top left and get to it that way
Does that work for you?

I "Think" he is referring to this title in W.S.
Which https://www.logos.com/wordsearch/catalog says is available in a Logos Research version
But I can not find it on my system and yes I do own it in W.S. amd my migration page lists it for me (also saying it is available).
But if you go to the WordSearch site and find the page for this product, then follow the link there to the Logos site, you get a message that says This product is not yet available...

I have a singular resource in my library by the same title which has Moody as its author, but it is a completely different product.

Ok... maybe we're talking different things... In my WS I think it is a single volume.... Now... why does my transition page says "Available" and I've got a different book in Logos (if I do)...
This puzzle don't fit for me.... I would think... that if it says available in my transition page... that it has been checked and processed and put into Logos from WS and is ready for me to use... but not so? What does it mean if it says "Available" in the transition page? I'm confused....

Did you compare it to the book series I linked to? Does that look like the right one?

This is the single-author book by Moody that Roy referred to above - https://www.logos.com/product/38439/bible-characters
As per the table of contents, it just focuses on a few characters and so I don't think it is the one you are expecting from Wordsearch - it certainly doesn't have an article on Peter.
The Article, etc options are not about searching but about what happens when you press the up / down arrows to the right of the dropdown
It determines whether the resource moves to the next (previous) article, page or search result.
Does this help clarify at all?

So the transition page of WS to Logos is not correct?? I guess I have to go through each of my many, many books to see if I get them into Logos?
I would guess that if it shows "Available" it should be available?
Like I said... this puzzle just doesn't fit!

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the transition process - but what you and Roy have described here suggests there is a problem with the status of this resource
Hopefully someone from Faithlife will see this and comment further.

I would encourage you to create a post in the WS forum. You should check out the details of the book in WS to see exactly what the resource is (author, publication date, etc.) and compare it to the one in Logos. My guess is that there is a disconnect between two similarly/same named resources of obscure origins.

It is; I've unlinked them. Thanks for finding this. We'll get it scheduled for production.

The transition page accurately reflects our conversion between Wordsearch and Logos.
However, we had to align over 10,000 resources between Wordsearch and Logos; some even had very similar titles and authors, but weren't actually the same (as in this case). Unfortunately, even though we applied a combination of manual and automatic review, it was inevitable that some mistakes would be made, which happened here.
You shouldn't need to verify every alignment we've made, but please do report any suspected discrepancies you find.

As per the table of contents, it just focuses on a few characters
and it doesn't have a headword index (only page) - I thought I'd add at least a community tag for the 5 people featured, but looking again, the tags are already there. Thanks to whoever put them in!

So, I'm a thinking (in my case of the "missing Bible Characters Book" that this is a mistake and will be corrected ... which I think is true.
Thanks

Thanks for the question JT.
Bradley has already chimed in on the issue so we know it (the 6 vol set) is not the right resource. But to answer your question what I checked was the content (not even close) as I have both the 6 vol set in Logos and the resource in question in W.S..
Again thanks for trying.

The only human I ever knew that was perfect was Jesus Christ. But good honest people work at correcting their mistakes and making things right when they find out about them.
This is what I see in this forum and this is what make gives Logos it's greatness.
Thanks to all for your help.
