Bookshelf :Mark Barnes

Hi,

I remember way back in the Logos 4 days following instructions here to create a visual bookshelf representation of my library, which I think Mark Barnes originally came up with.

Doing a forum  search shows that any links to the instructions are no longer working. I'd really love to do this again with my Logos 9 library which is much bigger than years ago, and would be so useful. I wonder if it is still possible in Logos 9, and if anyone could guide me on how to do it.

Thanks

Duncan.

I think Mark is no longer supporting that external app. But I believe he deemed it no longer necessary to support, because Faithlife a while back implemented a new Cover View for the Library.

If you select that from the dropdown menu at the upper right, I think you'll get close to what Mark's bookshelf view might have offered you (it has been so long since I've used it that I can't remember what it looked like).

I created a web app to create library views for saving or printing.

yeah, but the cover view cannot be sort by "latest" or "most recent" or "title" ... kinda useless for me.

It can be sorted by Recent, Most Used, Title, and Author.

Though it took me a moment to find the sorting option (in Dark Mode), and I'm not surprised that Mike, who didn't have a pre-existing official confirmation of this capacity, didn't find it on his own.

I can understand SineNomine's point. But I must admit a bit of stupidity. I opened my L7 (ca 2016) and confirmed, indeed, 4 sorts. My memory was like Mike's.

But then, I notice you could menu-filter my-tags (without trying to remember my spelling) That's amazing. It's like it was never there. Until it was.

EDIT: Ok, I was all excited to use this new (at least 4 yrs old) functionality! Then, I noticed the the titles are gone ... unless you hover the book ... which pops up the massive info panel, so you can't see the books ... unless you don't hover the titles.. Oh, well. Back to Details.
