Logos for ipad
Did I read somewhere in a tweet or post that Logos will have an ipad version of Logos at or on launch day which is tomorrow? Seems doubtul since they are closed for Good Friday.
Anyway, how do I get the logos app on the ipad if I already have it in itunes for my iphone? Will I have to redownload it? Will the iphone logos app run on the ipad?

It will show up in the iTunes store. Easiest way is just to search on Logos and see what apps come up. Kevin Purcell said that it has already been submitted, so we are just waiting or Apple to approve it.

I really wish this thing wasn't coming out on Holy Saturday. I've got sermons to write, ya know!

Hey Chris, I see you're a fellow LCMS clergy member. I'm an LCMS pastor in Washington State. Like you, I have sermons to write. But I don't think the ipad will sit in the box until Monday.

It's now in the App Store (my Ipod version just updated) and it looks great, I think!
Thanks Logos.
PS - ESV also has an iPodized version of their app available. Good times.

Pastor Todd... I too am Pastor Todd and as well an LCMS Pastor. When you first posted, I thought to myself, I didn't post that, who hacked into my account! LOL Yes, Easter is coming, however, things are already beginning to slow down, as I only have two services left this week, and my sermon is written. God's Blessings you and all, may you each be blessed by the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I am an LCMS layman.
I own a Kindle, but am interested in the iPad. In addition to my iPhone, it would be interesting to compare, whether iPhone and iPad is duplicative and how the reading experience compares with Kindle, which I really like.
It would be nice to have L4 books, even if in limited amount, available for the Kindle.
But with the great investment I have made in books, maybe I can justify an iPad by telling my wife, "But honey, I can't afford NOT TO HAVE ONE, since I have spent so much on Logos books"!
Well, it was worth a try.

My pastor/co-laborer just told me after seeing the screen shots of Logos for iPad that it looks almost negligent not to get an iPad!

Curious, with wifi only how do you read books when on the road (and no wifi) and how much space do you need (i.e. 16, 32, 64???)

So Kevin on the ipad thats getting release later this month, we won't have this problem because we will have internet connection through the 3g network? I guess what Im trying to ask is will we be able to download ALL of our logos resources on the ipad with 3g capability?

the 3g Ipads that are coming will require a non-contractual data plan(30 a month for unlimited) to be able to use the resources on the go without wifi. When you say ALL your logos resources keep in mind that not all the resources Logos offers are currently available for viewing on non-L4 interfaces. Currently roughly 3000 of their 10000 resources are available. For instance of my collection of roughly 2200 books 804 are available for the Ipad.
