Logos Bible on M1 MacBook Please?
I'd like to see Faithlife allow the Logos Bible iOS app to be downloaded on the M1 Mac App Store. Why?
1. It would provide a faster option until the devs get the M1 native version ready.
2. it's simpler for some beginning users to get started with Logos.
3. You can install it more quickly than the full desktop app.
Not sure what this takes, but I'd love to see it even if FL said, "We're allowing it but it will be unsupported."

I think all three of your points are valid and I agree. I would want the full app, but I could envision a situation where I would want to download the mobile app... especially if I were using a computer other than my primary work laptop.

I was just thinking the same thing... I don't think they would do it however (supply it without supporting it). Either they will support it and supply it or they wont supply it at all.

I would think that FL would need to provide support for a non-touch interface. I wonder if that is a reason to not support this ability.

I followed these instructions to get Literal Word on my MacBook Air. Now, Literal Word is very, very basic, especially compared to Logos, which may not work well. But you can always give it a shot.

The Verbum iPadOS app on my M1 MacBook Air. It works. This is more of a proof of concept for me. Apple's "Touch Alternatives" makes the app navigable. I haven't encountered bugs yet, with the exception that if you have two resources linked so that they scroll together, the resources appear side-to-side and part of one is not viewable. I haven't tried to see if this can be fixed. But the concept does work!

The Verbum iPadOS app on my M1 MacBook Air. It works.
Did you download it directly from the MacApp store? My M1 just arrived, but I am currently charging it.
I installed iMazing from its website and then followed the instructions from the link from The Verge that Gregory gives above, but I used my iPad and not my iPhone!
1. Plug-in device to Mac with iMazing running
2. Select “Apps” for the iPhone plugged in to your Mac
3. Select “Manage Apps” in the tabs at the bottom
4. Select “Library” in the manage apps screen
5. Download the apps you want
6. Right click on the downloaded app in the list -> Export ipa
7. Double-click the .ipa file on an M1 Mac to run install it.Learning to navigate the app on the Mac takes a little time, as you have to substitute the trackpad and the space bar for touch gestures on the iPad, but it basically works. I can highlight, read resources from my Library, do a Passage Guide, and search in Facebook, to list what I've tried so far.

My desktop app works well enough, so I don't really need the iPad app on my M1 Air! However, it was interesting to see that it does work, all in all. You're right - updating the iPad app on the Air would be a pain!
I can think of very few iPad apps that I have that I would actually want to run on my Air at this point! It's still an interesting concept that may have some potential.

I am now waiting for the new Mac to update before I set up migration. In the meantime, I went to the Mac App Store and noticed that the apps ARE visible under the "iPad & iPhone Apps" tab. It does say "Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS." I wonder if it can be downloaded directly. I wont know until I can sign in to my account.

I tried, and yes, you can install iPad apps directly from the Mac App Store - even those that are "not verified".
