Dashboard cards don't work!

So, for the first time I went and looked at app.verbum.com.... it seemed to have a lot of functionality!

One thing I noticed, it did not have many of the Dashboard cards I use from the desktop app - many Saints, Lectionary, Devotionals - were not available. I assume they just aren't ready to be used in the web app yet?

More importantly - I set up 8 cards - a lectionary, some saints and devotional cards. I closed the page, and then reopened it in my browser - they are all gone! So then - I added 1 card. I refreshed the page - gone. I added another card - closed the browser tab, reopened the app - gone.

To make matters worse, once added and "disappearing", those cards are no longer available to select and add to my Dashboard! I tested this to be sure. It's like the selection box thinks they are chosen so they are not in the list, but the Dashboard thinks they are not chosen.

I am on Mac/Safari. I don't think it's a browser issue, I have Chrome as well and I duplicated all these problems on Chrome as well. I also duplicated it all on the Logos web app, and I tried logging out and back in, the problems persist then as well.

That's odd. I just added all three to app.logos.com (Firefox, Mac OS), and they persisted as expected.

The reason they are no longer available is that the site thinks the are active cards, so there, logically, wouldn't be an option to add them again.

Try deleting them on Desktop and adding them again on the Web App and see what happens.

It's unrelated - I quickly started adding ones not on my desktop, that I have never added as a card anywhere, and it still happens. I bet you are right though, the ones I originally didn't see show up was because they were already on the desktop being used.

Maybe I'll try deleting cache for verbum and logos.com and see if that helps.

EDIT: Nope - I deleted all cookies, cache, data, etc. etc. in Safari for all the faithlife, logos, and verbum web sites. Then I restarted app.verbum.com. I had to re login, but dashboard was empty. I added a Devotional card that I have never added before anywhere, it shows up. Then I just refreshed, and it's gone (and gone from the picker list).

It's interesting, I have noticed when I first bring up the app in the browser, I see the ghost-images of a bunch of cards in Dashboard, along with a row or two of ghost images of the Explore section:

But then I get this "Welcome" empty dashboard:

I just tried this on Safari on my iPad, and on a Mac I never ran the Verbum web app on before, and the same things happened. So it's not just browser or computer-specific, or verbum vs. logos web app-specific, whatever it is. That's all I can currently think of to try and narrow it down.

I'll wait to hear if this is something that can be fixed. If so, it looks like the web app has promise. I use my Cards a lot, so the app is not much use to me right now.

This is getting weirder and weirder....I happened to close Verbum desktop app and re-opened it, and the new cards I added in the web app for testing appeared! I went back and closed the browser, reopened it, and they still don't show up in the web app - something is preventing it.

This has been fixed in 9.5.
