LOGOS WINDOWS FREEZING WITH OTHER APPS
I am running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 with Logos 8.17 SR-2.
Lately, I have noticed over and over again that my Logos desktop application windows just go into a freeze mode and become totally unresponsive to mouse clicks. It seems to always happen when I am also concurrently running other programs such as Adobe PDF or MS Word 16.16.7 or pretty much any other programs with open windows on the screen. The only way to "unfreeze" the Logos app is to click on something like preferences and then when it launches, I just close it. Then, Logos works again until I switch back to a different program, only to return later to Logos. This is getting to be frustrating with this freezing happening many, many times. The only way that I've found to stop the problem is to NOT run other programs while I am using Logos, which is disappointing.
Is anyone else having this type of issue? Any solutions?
Thx.

Hi - and welcome to the forums
Sorry to hear you are having these problems.
I am currently running Logos 9 with macOS Big Sur but didn't see these problems when running 8.17 on Catalina (although I had upgraded to Logos 9 before 8.17 SR-2 came up so never ran that combination).
What is the spec of your computer, how much RAM, how much free disk space, what type of disk do you have?

Hi Graham.
I'm running a very robust system because I do a lot of audio editing (Cubase Elements 11) and some video editing (Final Cut Pro). So, the issue is not about memory and/or computer specs. Everything was working fine a couple of months ago. I did do a restore version of Logos 8.14 through the MacOS time machine and Logos would not even launch. A window popped up telling me that all of resources will not work with the earlier version (assuming prior to 8.17 SR-2). So, I was forced to reinstall Logos SR-2. I dunno. Maybe the reinstall might fix the problem. I'll know in short order.

Yes - it is only possible to go back to previous versions by completely deleting all the files and resources.

Have you just reinstalled SR-2? If so, are you still having problems?

I had a different problem and a different computer (beta testing, Windows 8.1, stopped indexing).
I uninstalled, reinstalled, have Logos 8.17 SR-2 now, and it seems to work fine. (possibly faster than before).
As I understand, the uninstall also deleted all resources and related files in my desktop, but some information is in the Logos cloud shared with my laptop, and that stayed.
