Crash: Logos 9.1 constantly crashing after I tried to create a 2021 Reading Plan
Hello everyone,
I tried to create a 2021 Reading Plan. Logos crashed. I have tried to open it three times since then and it has crashed each time. It gives the bell sound like it is opening and then it crashes. Please help.

- Try opening while holding the CNTRL down ... if that works it is likely that the screen you open to is corrupted and needs rebuilt.
- Try the operating system repair application feature
- If neither of those work post logs.

Unfortunately, I don't know Mac but it is a defective reading plan that is causing the problem as far as I can tell. So I'm surprised you can't start with control being held down. Someone with more knowledge is needed to tell you how to delete the offending file.

If I delete the reading plan, will that solve the problem?
Thanks

The crash is connected with a reading plan, so deleting that one should fix the issue.
How was the plan created?

I just tried to select a 5-day a week reading plan like I would any normal reading plan. Then it just started crashing.

I have had the same problem, and can replicate it by the following... (Don't do this if you absolutely need to use Logos today or are not happy potentially losing all your Reading Plans.)
- Docs -> New -> Reading Plan
- Select "Generate a Reading Plan"
- Hit Cancel
- Select Choose a predefined Reading Plan
- Select a plan
- Choose Start
Logos then crashes and will keep crashing again on opening.
I have renamed the ReadingPlan.db and can now get into Logos however it is still syncing 10 mins later - will advise when completed.
It also created and then deleted a home page card for every reading plan I have ever created, which is many as I like to play about.
Maybe need a to change this to a Warning/Bug thread - support will be busy today if this is a bug others can repeat.
(Posted a thread to try and alert folks - please delete it if no longer required)

Sync has completed and all looks OK now after refreshing the Home Page

Any word on whether this bug is fixed?

You just reported it yesterday. If a software fix is needed, it won't likely be released for a couple weeks at the earliest. Are you unable to get into your the app at all, or just unable to create a plan? If you are unable to get into the app, did you try deleting the reading plan through the website?

In my tests the reading plan does not show in documents.logos.com or app.logos.com, so cannot be deleted. Logos crashes out on startup just as home page is displayed, so cannot delete it from Logos desktop app either.
Using CTRL to launch and selecting work offline, I had just enough time to open Docs and delete the plan before it crashed. The first time I did not have time, so tried again, and just managed it. After relaunch, Logos is again ok.
Maybe you could try this Jim.
- Hold Control key as you click the Logos icon to launch.
- Choose 'Work Offline'
- As soon as possible, quickly Choose Docs, click the reading plan then hit your delete key.
If you do it quick enough, it should not crash.

Jim will have to press and hold Command key on his Mac.
I get Logos 9.2 beta to crash if I select 5 Days on Spiritual Growth as you suggest.

As you said, you don't know Mac [;)]
For future reference—On a Mac, it is the Command (Cmd) key rather than the Control key that allows start with a blank layout. When starting from the Dock, click the Logos icon, then quickly depress the Command key. Depressing the Cmd key first will only open the Applications folder.
