frustration with missing books
I just purchased several books for Logos 4, I own a Logos 4 library and the new books show up in Logos 4 on my PC. All of these books indicate on the Logos website that they are available for iPhone. None of these books are showing up on my iPhone
Yes, I have an account and yes my iPhone is logged in.
Yes, I have read that it can take time for books to show up on the iPhone.
My frustration is that with a simple notation on the website, Logos could significantly reduce confusion and dissapointment by letting us know that a book is not yet available for the iPhone. Telling us that it is available should only mean that it is available NOW! Using a label such as "Available on iPhone soon" could indicate that licensing issues have been resolved, but the book isn't quite yet ready for the iPhone.
I'm getting tired and frustrated with all of the failed promises from Logos.
In my opinion, telling me that a book is available on the iPhone and it isn't, is a failed promise.
The books I'm looking for are:
How to Read the Bible Book by Book
How to Read the Bible for All It’s Worth
Rick Warren’s Bible Study Methods

Am I right in thinking these were new releases yesterday? If so, then it takes a little while for them to become available on the iPhone. It took 5 days for EBC to become available, so hopefully you will have them by Friday.
Good books by the way!

Sorry for my typo's. "We" should be "were" and "look" should be "took".

Hey Andrew,
If you hit the "More" button in the upper right of your post, you can edit it.

If you go into a store and the sales person tells you they have an item in stock, are you satisfied after making your purchase when you find out that it will take five days or more to actually use the product? This is confusing until an explanation is provided. Most people will be disappointed[:(], many will be frustrated[:'(], some will be upset. [:@]
On the other hand, if you see a sign that indicates that the item is not available for five days, many will be happy to pay now and wait for its arrival. Of course, if that five days comes and goes and the product still isn't available, we're back to where promises are not kept.
If it takes 5 days for a book to be available, then Logos should indicate that on their website. All we have now at best is speculation, confusion and wasted time.
The key to satisfied customers (or any other relationships) is providing realistic expectations and keeping promises.

I understand your frustration Andrew. I too am waiting for a book that is advertised to be available on the iPhone to become available. However, I have also bought a book from Amazon, and I am waiting for that.
Waiting teaches me patience, which is not a bad thing!

I could be more patient.
We both know that ordering from Amazon requires waiting for the mail and we have a fairly good idea of how long that will take.
If we want, we can even track the progress and know fairly accurately when it will arrive.
Logos could do a better job with their promises. All we have now is speculation when our books will be available on the iPhone.Thank you for listening and I will work on being patient.

This is not an unreasonable request. Logos, why not simply put a statement on the ordering site saying, "Some books purchased will not be available on Library.Logos.com or the iPhone app for a few days. Please wait up to X business before contacting us." This would make it simple and understandable to the customer at the time of purchase. I doubt many would cancel the purchase at that point.

If you have the Kindle App, you don't have to wait after you buy the book. [:D] Unless, of course, it's just not available as an ebook, and I'm amazed at how many books are.

Yes, and all of the Logos ones are instantly available as well. It is just the Pre-Pub books upon release seem to take a week to show up on the iphone.
