I don't see this as a problem as person can be viewed as either a living thing or as a causal agent.
Jude begins with "Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, ..." => should servant be a Who ? or What ? (e.g. Who ? from <Sense person> search OR What ? for Louw-Nida domain 37 search)
What makes you think a causal agent is a what? Isn't God the causal agent of creation?
What happened as God created ?
Who is Jude ? What is Jude ? are two questions for "Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ ..."
