Let's Rethink How Workflows and Sermon Editor Integrate
The following could be a Suggestion or just a Topic to discuss the best way to implement the idea on integration between Workflows and the Sermon Editor for a Complete use of the Sermon Editor.
Long ago there was a Logos Lesson Builder program (Image 1 Left). The program was able to build Bible Lessons from Templates.
My idea is to duplicate the concept through Workflows.
What if Workflow References can become Variables to use in Workflow Controls.
Questions and / or Main or Sub-Points (as Questions) can be made available for Handout and Question Views.
Answers in a Workflow can become information for a Group Leader in the Handout View. This is possible but with a few extra steps and duplicate items. I want to avoid all the extras.
The Sermon can then be developed around the Questions and Answers already provided from the Workflow. I want everything I do in a Workflow to be a draft for a possible Bible Study that compliments a Sermon.
The idea is to see a Workflow as a series of Bible Study Questions. When the questions in the Workflow are answered, the answers are seen as Leader's Guide material. This structure is then drawn into the Sermon Editor in the same way. The sermon is then developed around the points of the Workflow.
I know how to do this in Sermon Editor, but it is necessary to duplicate some items to accomplish this. The concept simplifies and speeds up the process of creating Documents for Group Leaders, Group Members and Pastors.
It can also minimize a whole lot of unnecessary repetition of information required in all documents.
I hope the Image tells more about the concept than I can explain in words.
