How do I construct a search of places where God is swearing an oath?
Thanks,
Peter
(swear, oath) INTERSECTS <Person God> could be a good starting point
I find one reference like Gen 12:2 and see what the Context menu provides. I see Blessing and Cursing and get {Section <PreachingTheme = Blessing and Cursing>} as a Search. Also see Label Promise and get {Label Promise WHERE Theme ~ <PreachingTheme Blessing and Cursing> AND Verb Class ~ "Promote"} as a Search.
I modify the first to refer to God ---> (Lord, God) WITHIN {Section <PreachingTheme = Blessing and Cursing>}
==> you can decide if <Person God> would be better than (Lord, God).
I modify the second to {Label Promise} and ensure God is the speaker e.g. {Label Promise } INTERSECTS ({Speaker <Person God>}, {Speaker <Person Angel of the Lord>})
Using {Speaker God} vs <Person God> depends on what the original search highlights.
Thank you Graham and Dave!
All the Vows in the Bible is one of the new resources included in Logos 9. It's still under development, but should be coming out soon for English. The companion dataset will allow searches like this, and much more.

I'll admit to being a wee bit impatient ... the first ones seem well done and the approach seems supportable.
