Sharing Notes

Hi, Is there a way to share notes so that people in my group see my notes and highlights inline in there bible text?

I have created our group and "shared" the notebook with that group.  I can see that this is the case by going to faithlife.com.  I can't figure out how to see those notes either on the web or on members mobile apps.

To make sure I'm being clear.  I need to be able to share notes I make on the desktop app to the group.  The group needs to be able to read through their bible in logos mobile app and see those notes.

Thanks!

Ok, I have found that going to the group on faithlife.com and clicking on Bible Study -> Logos Documents.  Shows the shared notebooks. It doesn't seem to let me see any of the notes.  I also still can't see the notebooks on any group members mobile device within the logos app.

Is there an Action button associated with the shared notebooks? If so, what options do you get it you click it?

Or in Logos (desktop version), group members should be able to open the Docs menu, select the Groups option and select the Faithlife group. You should see the notebooks there and be able to right-click / then add them to their Docs (Do the group members have Logos on desktop / laptop or just mobile?)

Graham, There is an action button.  I see "publish", "withdraw", and "duplicate".  When I hit publish, I see our group which is already checked and greyed out.

The other members only have mobile apps.

The other members only have mobile apps.

If they have (or install if they don’t already have it) the Faithlife app, they might be able to connect to the Notebook from there.

Once they have done that, it might appear in their Logos Bible Study app.

I’m not sure if this will work but worth trying

Actually I had just figured that out, and was coming here to say it.  That did work and it is very fast.  Meaning if I make a note, it almost instantly appears inline while they are reading.

One other question...Is there a way to share notebooks without the desktop app? Some of our members to not have a computer, only a phone or tablet.  We would like for their notes to be displayed for the group as well.

    Thanks!

    That is excellent

Yes - if they go to documents.logos.com (when logged in with their Logos credentials) they will see their documents including notebooks.

Clicking the dropdown arrow on the right enables them to share (publish or collaborate) depending on whether they want people to be able to modify their notebooks or just view them)

Thanks for the help, everyone! I tried to summarize what I learned here into a blog post to help friends figure it out, too: https://studyingjesus.blogspot.com/2023/05/sharing-notebooks-to-collaborate-in.html

    Thanks again!

Sharing to "public" is still broken... I've yet to see that function work where you share to "public".

Interesting - over the last four weeks or so I've had no problem sharing to public from Win 11 and the beta app current for the week.
