Default text size
Every time I open a commentary, resource, etc, the default text size is 3 ticks from the left, a touch too small for my tastes. Thus I either live with it, or take the added step of changing each resource a couple ticks bigger each and every time I open something. Is there a way to change the default of this?
I know if you go to the master three vertical dots icon (I always forget the fancy name), just above "application theme" you can select program scaling of either 80, 100, 150, and 200%. And it doesn't seem to be able to be fine tuned. Thus 150 feels like way too big, compared to 100, like not being able to read the big E on the eye chart big.
In program settings, you can change the Notes size from its default of 11 to something else. But I can't find where to adjust this and it seems like it would be the sort of thing you should be able to adjust, since clearly it is a default setting, since it can be manually adjusted.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum.
I the Program Settings you can also change 'Content Scaling' as a percentage. This will allow you to set the default size to something suitable.
You can find it under Tools -> Program Settings -> Accessibility -> Content Scaling, or from the menu you were in.
If you use this along with 'Program Scaling' under tools, (which has more options than the menu you mentioned) you should be able to get the sizes you want for all aspects of the software.
There are actually other options you can use also for Program scaling that do not show up in the dropdown, you can set these from the Go box, by typing the command 'Set Program Scaling to 75' and then selecting the 'Set Program Scaling to 75%' from the popup that appears. You can try other figures. Same for content scaling. Not all values are available, but if it autocompletes below (red rectangle in image), then it is valid.

Thanks Kevin that seems to work. I'm thinking that perhaps the default is 3 ticks from the left (and perhaps not changeable) so that you always have the option of increasing a particular resources significantly and decreasing some as well, so that you always have some wiggle room either way to make a change of just one resource. That also makes a lot of sense for me because I'm jumping back and forth between using a large monitor and just my 13' MacBook. Thus even if I have a preferred size with just my mac, the default wouldn't be ideal when using my monitor, and changing just the scaling adjusting everything that's already open as well.

With a change in Program Scaling, the default 3 ticks from left does not change, however with Content Scaling changes, the default position will change, going further to the right as the Content Scaling increases, and vice versa.
If the resource is set on the default position, and you change the Content Scaling, the bar will move and still be on the new default size, and therefore the content size will change. However if the resource is not on the default position, whilst the default position will move, the bar will not, and therefore the resource content size will not change.

That seems to make sense. I guess it's probably simplest to adjust the program scaling to taste when switching from a big monitor to the laptop's screen and vice versa. Good to know. Thanks!
