It literally took my breath away how fast my new computer just opened up Logos. With my standard layout that has about 100 or so resources opened including 4-5 extra windows, the whole thing was completely done in about 5 seconds. Wow.

Nice! At some point, just for fun, time a full manual re-index 😁. All 32 CPU threads should be used in the last 80% or so. Thankful for multi-threading!

Couldn't believe it myself back in October when I retired my 10 year old iMac, and switched back to Windows with an I7, 1TB SSD along with a 1TB backup HDD, and 32G ram. The Mac still works fine, but the fact that it became unsupported pushed me to make the move. Went with Windows since the same 'specs' with a new Mac would have cost around $2000 more. I too get the home page fully loaded in 5-8 seconds. With the old Mac minus an SSD, 30 seconds+ was the norm. Hopefully I'll get 10 years out of this machine!

Oops! That should read 'the last 20% or so'.

This is why I made the switch too. Macs are solid machines... but not $2000 extra worth of solid.
